We have been looking online and invitations are just so overpriced and we have a lot of little things we need to print for different parts of the wedding. I saw that there are some places that will design your invitations and send you documents to print however many you need which I love. We have a nice local printing company that we plan to use so we dont have to do anything. they even cut them out and can print on envelopes so we are going to be saving a ton with minimal work. I mean we are talking about $2 per invitation since we are just going to do black and white. Where did you ladies find your custom designed-self print invitations? We have tons of things to print but we want all the same style so we want to find someone early to help get everything rolling

@anemone681: I think etsy has a lot of printable invites, however other brides have used their own computers to design invites. I personally like photoshop and InDesign, but I’ve read that other brides have used illustrator, publisher, and powerpoint. I know adobe has a free 30 day trial. I’m making my friend’s invites for about $2 per invite (includes envelopes, ribbon, charm, inserts, etc), printed on my canon pixma with paper purchased from paperandmore.com. I have no experience or education in graphic design, so it’s really not as difficult as you may think.

Etsy would be your best bet (just find out the specs your printer will need and have them send you the resulting file according to those guidelines), and there’s also some free ones on weddingchicks: http://www.weddingchicks.com/freebies/invitation-suites/
