@MrsP0801:  We just booked our Honeymoon and it was around $5,800 TOTAL for both of us (flights included). We’re going to Sandals Grande Antigua for 8 days/7 nights. The great thing is Sandals Resorts are all-inclusive so all meals/drinks are included in that price. We are also registering through the Sandals Honeymoon registry so people can buy us massages, day cruises, etc. to “upgrade” our experience there.

Walt Disney World.

Actually, we had our wedding AND honeymoon on the same trip (almost two weeks) and the total cost came to a little over $10,000 (more than half of it was the wedding).

We went to Spain for 6 days.  Flight, Hotel, food, and all tour/souvenir spending came out to a $1900 and change.

We are going to the Appalachain mountains. We are afraid of leaving the country unnecessarily until FI gets his green card. It is going to be super cheap, and SUPER AWESOME. If we were going to leave the country, we were going to go to Prince Edward Island.

We would go somewhere tropical, but we spend 9 days in St. Johns every winter, so that’s not something we really want to do again in a year.

Iceland self-drive tour for 10 days.  The $3680 includes round-trip flights, lodging, and car rental.

No food, though.  Can’t remember if admissions into the National Parks are covered either.

What about a cruise? You could certianly ‘do it big’ and stay under 10k for a week.

With a $10k budget, you have lots of options!

For our honeymoon, FI and I are going to Florida and the Bahamas for 8 nights. We’re spending about $3500 total, including hotels, flights, transport, food and excursions.

We went to Argentina last year to attend a friends wedding and spent the week before the wedding traveling around.  We stayed for 9 days total and only $6k for the two of us.

@MrsP0801:  You could easily do two weeks in Europe for $10K.  Or one week in London or Paris or Rome.  What about a Mediterranean cruise?

@MrsP0801:  We stayed at LeBlanc Spa Resort in Cancun Mexico and absolutely LOVED it! We spent $5300 (airfaire and resort) however price could be less if you book your flight ahead of time and get a good deal. We originally wanted to go to Fiji or Aruba but we waited too long and the flight prices were insane.  Close friends of ours stayed at LeBlanc for their HM the year prior and highly recommended it.  I’m so glad we didn’t listen to the rumors about Mexico not being safe and blah blah blah … we felt more safe in Cancun than we did in Punta Cana, DR.  This place treats you like a king and queen … they literally do EVERYTHING for you.  We left that place feeling so pampered and spoiled … can’t wait to go back!  Oh and it is all-inclusive with top shelf liquors, unlimited room service, resort credits that you can use towards spa, tours etc AND it’s listed on Trip Advisor’s top 10 best all-inclusive resorts in the world.  The food is amazing! Ok enough of my rant.  Good luck!

We are having a winter wedding and neither of us are wanting to do lots of traveling so we are going to rent a secluded log cabin in one of our neighboring towns. Very beautiful town and it’s a poplular place for log cabin rentals.

We originally wanted to go to Cancun Mexico but we dont want to put up with the traveling, we just want to relax as a couple, not spend a whole day of our honeymoon in airports, planes, and customs and we both agreed that, that to us, Cancun is more for vacations rather than honeymoons.

At least in a cabin, we have our own privacy. We won’t have to worry about people running around through the lobby or halls like at a resort in Cancun.
