What kind of room? Superior Balcony as of now but we may upgrade to a suite as the HM gets closer.
How many days? 5 day cruise, 2 days in Bermuda
How much will it cost you? Total budget for the whole shebang is $3500. This includes our cruise fare (plus all taxes and fees), gratuities, round trip limo to and from port (we're from Upstate, NY and will be leaving out of NJ), and all spending money while on the boat and in Bermuda.
Where are you travelling from? Upstate, NY (Saratoga Springs to be exact)

What kind of room? regular ole room. We wanted a suite but none were available (my parents are giving us 2 weeks of their time share to trade)
How many days? 2 weeks, but we will spend 3 of them (4?) traveling and leaving a few days late so I think we will end up being there 9 or 10.
How much will it cost you? Not sur eyet, but probably about $4K? Its expensive to get there but really cheap once we are there so it actually could be a lot less than that. Tickets will be about $2500, the rest is spending money and taxes on the hotel (not paying for the actual hotel)
Where are you travelling from? Out of New York and back into SF

We went on our honeymoon this past Oct 26 - Nov 1, we had beautiful weather and since it was the end of hurricane season we got a great deal!

What kind of room? Umm not sure what they're called...but in SA and Mozambique, we had private pools. So..pool rooms? lol.
How many days? about 2 weeks
How much will it cost you? A lot!

It was the trip of a lifetime and worth the 16 hour flight we took to get there!
Destination: Tahiti, Bora Bora, Australia (Hamilton Island, Sydney, Melbourne)
Resort: Intercontinental Tahiti, Bora Bora Hilton Nui, 4 Seasons (Sydney), Hamilton Island Beach Club, the Langham (Melbourne)
Type of Room: Standard rooms and an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora
How many days?: 1 month (3 weeks in hotels though, the rest of the time was spent with my family in Los Angeles)
How much did it cost you?: A lot, but it was worth it.
Where will we travel from?: NYC with a stop in LA (where I'm from) on the way to and from.
We wanted to do a big trip because this may be the last time and opportunity where we could take so much time to travel.

Not to sound snarky but are people embarrassed to put the cost on here? I think leaving the cost blank really defeats the purpose of having this informational post. That being said, I really hope no one would judge other's decisions to take trips of a lifetime. Well worth it in my opinion.

@Lindsaygooding:Our flight is prettty long..we leave sunday at 1:50 and will finally arrive in Santorini on Monday by noon. Sooo its long..but coming back will not be bad due to the change in days...My fiance actually surprised me with the Honeymoon and he did lots and lots of research. We went through expedia (He spoke with them ALOT). The hotel we are staying at is a 3/4 star hotel but it ranks in the top 10 hotels to stay in there due to the hospitality and experience. We are going during peak season too, so depending on where you are leaving from..$4,300 is the very highest. PM me if your really interested and I'll give you more info...It is definitly do able if you have $5,500...and I would say even if your budget is $5,000 you can probably do it..it all depends on the month :)
My Fiance and I just decided that now is the time for us to go on a vacation like this, since we have money saved up, plus we wanted more than just a beach destination...this gives us both beach and history!

What kind of room? It was a "bungalow suite"; basically a townhouse. It had a living room, 'kitchenette', 1.5 baths, a huge bedroom and a balcony. It was pretty awesome!
How many days? One week
How much will it cost you? It was about $3000 Cdn. However, we did a 'late' honeymoon, and it was over New Years, so all the prices were higher. After we booked we went back days later, and the price had gone up about $500 a person.
Where are you travelling from? Toronto
We also did a "mini-moon" the weekend after the wedding, where we stayed in a hotel in Toronto and went out for dinner and a play. We live in a suburb city about 40 min from downtown. It was really nice. I think if you can't go on a honeymoon right after your wedding (we had just moved and both started new jobs so could not get the time off), even a night in a nearby city feels really nice.
