We’re just going back to our home (: Neither of us feel a need to stay in a hotel and I think we’ll be more comfortable in our own bed anyways. We’re having a 15 day honeymoon so we’ll have plenty of time to stay in hotels aha.

our wedding was a semi-destination at a private inn so we stayed in a suite there since we definitely were not driving 2.5 hrs home at 4 am when we finally stopped partying

@DuckEBee:  We will be staying at a hotel near the airport. We leave for our honeymoon early next morning 🙂 Are you booking your room already ? We haven’t booked ours yet.

I found a groupon for a nice hotel in the city – it was fun because we hadn’t lived together before so someone else taking care of all the details was lovely. It even included breakfast in bed!

@DuckEBee:  Haha, DEFINITELY do your dishes before the wedding! 😛 You don’t wanna come home from a honeymoon to a completely bug ridden, nasty house! lol

A family friend owns a 5-star hotel and gives each person in our family a free stay in one of their “sweetheart rooms” whenever we get married, plus free shuttle to the airport from the hotel for our honeymoon. So we’re covered!

We stayed at a hotel but a different one that our guests were staying at. We stayed at the hotel with our guests the night before the wedding.

I was in love with a specific hotel to have our wedding at but it was way out of our budget. As a surprise, DH booked us for a two night mini-moon at the hotel I’d been lusting over so it was still a part of our wedding experience. We didn’t leave for our honeymoon until 3 days after our wedding, so we had one night at home to get our stuff together before we got up super early the next morning to head to Hawaii.

We had to get married 8 hours from where we live.  (None of our local areas had same-sex marriage at the time.)  We rented a big house with several units in it for the night before the wedding and the wedding night.  We were in the one-bedroom unit; our guests were in the two-bedroom and four-bedroom units.

We stayed at the venue, which had a few cabins.  It was great.  Stayed up partying around the bonfire until 4 am and then stumbled to bed.  I woke up with my only clothes options for the morning as my wedding dress and the 6-sizes-too-big flip flops I borrowed from the officiant when I was barefoot late at night… ha!
