annb9:  Oh man, DH and I searched high and low for tux’s/suits for the wedding. We eventually settled on JCREW for the price point, but were looking at Nordstroms/Bloomingdales/Hugo Boss/Calvin Klein. There were some other specialty men’s stores in the SF area we went to, but I can’t recall them.

What’s your budget?

There is a full list of sellers on Blacktieguide.com, and if you’re buying a tuxedo, it is mandatory reading, anyway.

I got mine, new without tags, at a consignment store.  Made to Measure is usually the best value for tuxedos, and then he can get it done correctly, which most makers aren’t doing right now.  Off the rack, Brooks Brothers is a good bet.

Seriously, though, read blacktieguide.com.   The guys selling you the tuxedo will not know anything about formal wear.  I’m not even kidding a little bit.

My groom had has custom made from Harry Rosen (which it appears you’re not in Canada, so is not very helpful). Its a high end mens retailer with a made-to-measure/ bespoke department.

It was costly but, fits him like a glove and he’ll have it forever. For a tux, I think MTM or bespoke is your best bet.

annb9:  If that’s your budget, go bespoke.
