I've been looking at rings with my boyfriend of 4 years for a few months now and I think I found THE one I love! But I'm curious, where did you guys get your rings? I'm looking into Helzberg and would love some opinions/experiences if anyone has any! =) Thanks bees!
mine is from Helzberg! I LOVE it! I get lots of compliments on how sparkly it is all the time and they have been awesome working with (for inspections, cleaning, re-dipping, etc)
My fiance and I went to Michael C Fina to pick out a setting, but had it made by a jeweler who is a family friend.
@chittychittybanebane really?! Awesome! I fell in LOVE with a Skott Kay from them. I just haven't heard to many reviews so I want to make sure it's a smart choice! =)
@Shel2523: I went with the masterpiece collection, but I have been engaged for 14 months and no problems yet! Plus, I love that I can get it cleaned EVERY time I go the mall... whoops!
ahh, I am going with a masterpiece center stone too! =) They sparkle SO much. Thank you thank you! You alone have silenced my worries! They do seem very genuine and helpful, it was the best place we went for sure!
My ring set is from Shane Co and they were really easy to work with and the ring has a lifetime warrenty for lost diamonds, broken prongs, etc.
DH got mine at an small, indepentent jeweler. It is the same place his BIL bought his sister's rings.
@Shel2523: Here is mine! (with my band) because I'm in love! 2 weeks and I can wear it!!
Mine is from Helzberg and they are awesome!! And I love love love my ring. I highly recommend them :) FI also purchsed the lifetime warranty for free cleanings and repairs and sizings for life!

Yay all of these positive comments! We will definitely be doing the warranty! and wow your rings are beautiful! Love the wedding band! Congrats!
This guy! A small family jeweller! I know it doesn't help much if you're not in Ireland but I highly recommend them for brides who are!!! We went back for our wedding rings and are super happy with what we got!
Mine came from Kays. This is the ering and split band now souldered together. both from Kays.

My was peiced together:
main diamond - GoodOldGold.com
setting - EternityDiamonds.com
Then I had the stone set into the setting by a local independent jeweler.
I despise the jeweler I got my ring from (local, independent scam artists), but when we were looking, I really enjoyed Shane Co. They have a huge selection, a variety of styles, and completely non-pushy salespeople who are knowledgable about what they're selling. They took note of my style and showed me rings they thought I would like, not rings that cost a ton of money or rings that they liked (a problem I encountered at other stores). They did not push diamonds, and introduced me to white sapphires, which I now love. So I would recommend them...though I liked a lot of the rings I saw at Helzberg (online) as well.
Mine is from Blue Nile, and I LOVE it. Fiance took my best friend ring shopping with him for opinions first, and they were both underwhelmed with a lot of the options and the quality at the chain stores. He ended up picking out an amazing stone for me on Blue Nile :)
ETA: I don't there is anything wrong with chains, but you might be able to get more for your money at a place that doesn't have the cost of a brick and mortar store built into the price.
My husband picked out my ering by looking at many many stores. Then he had a family jeweler custom make it. It's ALOT cheaper than going with a brand name store.
Our bands came from a jeweler in NYC that we got a crazy awesome price on. Military discount plus shipping out of state for no NY Sales tax = AWESOME!
FI went to Tiffany's for my ering so that's where we got our bands from as well.
Michael Hill, most of the jewelry I own is from there, don't know why I guess I just like the stuff they carry.
My e-ring and our bands are Tacori, so my DH went to a Tacori distributor. The diamond itself is from a diamond distributor
Blue Nile! He was really happy with the selection and customer service. He would call them at 4 in the morning asking about different stones and getting advice. Couldn't be happier with them.
we love all things vintage, so he surprised me with a ring from an antique jewelry store.
@Shel2523: Mine is a Scott Kay from Helzberg. LOVE it! The service I've gotten there is fantastic. We've moved, so obviously I go to a different store now, but the service is just as good, if not better!
Blue Nile! He loved how easy their website was and the prices are right!
Mine came from a local family owned jewelry store. It's the same place where my dad bought my mom a beautiful ruby ring 30 years ago. We ended up going back in there to get my band and a bracelet for the wedding also, and he got me another ring there for my birthday. We go in there all the time now.
@Shel2523: My FI got my rings from a small independent jeweler that his friend recommended. He was nice and gave us a good deal with a cash discount.
Mine was from Tiffany & Co. I had a very personal, family related reason for choosing them as my jeweler. They definitely have a markup. That aside, their customer service was stellar.
I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about Helzburg.
@chittychittybanebane: Your engagement band is just like mine. I love that wedding band with it!
We went to an independent family-owned shop here in DC. They were so wonderful to us! Very helpful, and we never felt like they were just trying to "sell" us something, the way we did with other jewelers. I love that I'll always be able to associate my ring with those great memories of ring shopping :)
Spence Diamonds. Different branch for wedding band~
Diamond from Jared's. Setting from Andrew's (only place in the area that sold tacori)
Riddles. Has a lifetime warranty, but I don't know if I'd recommend them...I just had my ring cleaned at Kay's (they really clean them a lot better :/ ) and they told me one of my stones was loose...so I took it to Riddles so that the jeweler could take care of it and they said that everything was fine. Eh, if it falls out I have their warranty and insurance, but it still really irritated me.
My e-ring came from Spence Diamonds, my band came from an independent manufacturer.
shane co is great. they include lifetime warranty and rhodium plating and upgrades (no minimum upgrade) with every purchase. and their prices are the same as elsewhere that doesn't have these features.
