We found a local travel agent (family recommended her from their own honeymoon), we went all inclusive adults only. I don’t want to have to worry about details while we’re there, other than which restaurant we want to go to and what kind of drink I want to order 😉

All inclusive can be great – that is what we did for our honeymoon 🙂  We went to Catalonia Royal Bavaro in Punta Cana.

Beautiful beach, great pools, adults only.  The food a bit bland for the most part, but definitely edible, and we had some really good meals too.  The best value in AI for us was the drinks – it was nice to be able to have as many drinks at the swim up bar as we wanted without having to worry about how much it cost.  Not having to pay anything out of pocket after the wedding was key, too, as there are tons of unexpected little expenses in the weeks before it!

We booked ours through Travelocity.  We travel frequently and are comfortable booking online. I also saved us about a thousand dollars compared to the prices I was getting quoted from a local travel agent.

You can enter your travel dates & it can quote you a whole package, airfare, hotel, and rental car if that’s what you’re looking for.  You can also price compare travel dates & hotels.

I always recommend all-inclusive, it’s the best way to go. Yes, you may not eat or drink $2000 worth of booze and food.. but it’s that feeling of you CAN if you want that is so great. You don’t have to worry about anything! If you try a drink and hate it, toss it and order another one.. if you’re were paying $8 a drink, most likely you’d suffer through the drink. Same with the food! It’s especially great when the all-inclusive includes airfare & transportation, that way everything is taken care of! I’m not sure if Hawaii offers any all-inclusives though.. it’s hard to find them in the U.S.

We booked ours ALL INCLUSIVE through a travel agency. We did Couples Swept Away Negril Jamaica. It was AMAZING. I highly recommend an all inclusive resort because its SO NICE not having to worry about carrying cash or the little added expenses that can add up quickly! 🙂

I used an American Express Travel Agent. She’s been really nice and helpful so far. You have to have a card though, I think.

We booked our all-inclusive honeymoon to Couples Sans Souci in Jamaica through CostcoTravel. We got business-class seats and a better room for the same price it would have been through other websites. Sweet!

First we decided on our location (Tahiti) and then I started reading up on Tripadvisor, etc. Contacted multiple travel agencies to make sure I was getting a good deal and continued to do my own background research. Ended up booking partially through Costco travel and the rest I did on my own.

We booked ours through a travel agent… If either of you are AAA members, they do it for free. I definitely suggest contacting them or another travel agent.

We did an all-inclusive, adults only resort in Riviera Maya through our local AAA travel agent.  We got the trip insurance through them because it was hurricane season.

@MapleMoose:  We just got back from my honeymoon there, too!!! It was beautiful and everyone was so nice.

We booked through a travel agent recommended by our wedding planner. There wasn’t a charge at all for their services and to top it off they provided us with a sweet gift bag for booking through them, complimentary luxury hotel (near the airport) stay the night before, and free parking and shuttle transfer to the airport!!!
