I like JCrew suits but they are kind of expensive. I normally get a lot of bathing suits from H&M, but not sure if they are down in Florida. I love Victoria's Secret too, but if you don't want itty bitty you might have limited selection. JCrew you can mix and match a lot of tops and bottoms, so I would keep looking there, they are really good quality.
I love Vicky Secrets. If you buy online instead of going into stores you will have a better selection of non-itty bitty bottoms.
i like victoria's secret, but you have to be very careful with their sizing... and some of the cheaper ones are really bad quality.
i also LOVE target bathing suits! at most they're $14.99 a piece... and during their sales, if you can find the right pieces in your sizes... they're as cheap as $3 or $4 a piece!!
Victorias secret! Yes, they can be expensive but they're actually ALWAYS having sales! And right now, you can get a FREE swim tote with a swim purchase that is not on clearance!
I second VS swim suits! They also have push up ones so they give my tiny pebbles some lift! Woot woot!
Almost all of mine are from Victoria's Secret. Yes, the nice ones are expensive, but worth it. I have three that have last 4+ years. I mean, think about it - - someone that makes you look good in lingerie has to make you look good in a swimsuit!
i used to love target bathing suits but lately I feel like none of them fit me right, (and my body hasn't really changed lately). Last year I went to a department store with a large bathing suit section, (Macys), and pretty much tried on every single suit, (seriously). I discovered a brand called Vix and fell in love with the cut of their suits. I bought two last year and plan on getting more this year. I say just go to a department store and try on some different brands to see which cuts you like the best.
PS. I got two suits with this sort of cut in different colors and patterns. the bottom is brazilian cut and super flattering on the booty :-)

Target - they actually last (surprisingly) a long time....for an east coast summer that is.
I love Venus Swimwear. They have skimpy to very modest cuts and everything in between. PLUS, you can order different sized tops and bottoms. All of my suits are from there.
I used to buy mine from VS, but I found their quality was lacking if the suit actually hit salt water or chlorine, even with rinsing out afterward.
I use Target suits as my "disposable" gym bathing suits, since I don't think their quality is as good (but the price is right)
I turned 30 last year and decided to not buy any more bikinis (much to FI's sadness)! I still might wear some that I already have for the honeymoon, but seriously, no more! But tankinis don't count in my book. =) I go to titlenine.com or athleta.com, they have stuff I really like! I don't have any local Title 9 stores (like they have in Boulder and I think the Bay Area), so I bought two sizes when they were on sale and returned the ones that didn't fit.
Thanks everyone! I will probably order a few from Jcrew to try on, and take a look at the VS & Target one's, too. I usually by 3 or 4 a season, so it won't hurt to look around. I really like one's that are of great quality, just because I am in the water (lake, pool, and ocean) a lot, so I don't mind paying for it.
@meowkers: I worked in a surf shop through high school, and we carried Vix. They usually had really cute suits, but they were all embellished, which means I couldn't really use them for anything but laying out. I'm not sure if they've changed at all, but I'm pretty active in the water, so they just weren't for me. I'll check to see if they have more basic suits available now.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I live in Florida, which means I pretty much live in a bikini from April to about October. For the past 7 years or so, I always buy a few Roxy or Raisins brand suits because I know the cut I like in them and what size I need. Unfortunately, this year everyone has decided to go NEON, and I'm sorry, but my pasty white skin will look disgusting in a neon suit. I just can't believe that every frikin' suit has neon in it. It is not 1992!
So, it's now been 7+ years since I've bought a suit from anywhere else, and I have no idea where to go. Who carries a variety of well-made, non-skimpy suits? I have been checking out JCrew, but it seems like their bottoms are itty bitty.
