I think Kohls has a lot of cute stuff.

Kohl’s, Target, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Amazon. Basically, if I see something that I like, I get it!

I don’t have many items from the same place.

Most are from random artisans I’ve come across one way or another.

Unfortunately, finding that perfect necklace/pair of earrings/whatever to go with an outfit, or job role etc. often has no relation, timing-wise, with when I could really really use a perfect necklace, etc., to go with “this outfit right now”.

What happens is that I buy the gorgeous pieces when I find them. I only buy what’s reasonable in price and I know I will wear.

In the meantime, if I have no perfect necklace, but the outfit really needs something, and none of what I have goes with it well at all, I’ll go to the mall and find a more-or-less suitable and cheap necklace to wear with it for the time being. It’ll get donated as soon as I can replace it with something that’s really “me.”

Go to craft fairs or other street vendor events in your area. I’ve found lots of interesting jewelry that way.

Also if you are looking for something specific Amazon can be good. I just got a pair of cz studs and a pair of silver hoops there, and they were only $15 each.

I get most of my stuff off of ETSY. I also buy the occasional necklace at H&M, JCrew, Banana Republic, Anthropologie, etc.

I use etsy pretty much exclusively, and buy a lot of silver and gemstone jewlery due to it’s affordability and durability. At 30, I don’t feel like most costume jewelry at department stores really suits me anymore when dressing up, but I do wear some cute funky costumey pieces with jeans occasionally.

Some more of my favs are Overstock, Charming Charlie, NY&C, Kohls and Macys. Forever 21 and H&M have some cute things if you have the time/energy to weed thru it.  I avoid Target b/c everything I’ve purchased there has fallen apart.

@aquaelle:  I just checked your other thread about that ring and YES I want that on my hand too, like right this instant! Some of my affordable etsy shops I use are Passionate Jewelry, Jetflair, Candiesthings, Naturalgorgeous & Cavalier Creations 🙂

I am a jewellery nut.

I have always liked jewellery, but when we began dating Mr TTR noticed that a lot of what I owned was costume jewellery (which I still love) but I didn’t have much really nice stuff… so he started buying me pieces for each and every significant occasion in our lives.

My costume jewellery I get anywhere and everywhere… and I especially like a mix of both classic looks… and unique / custom pieces

Discount Stores (Winners = TJ Maxx, Zellers = Target, Kohls, Saks off 5th) – Department Stores (The Bay, Macy’s, JC Pennys, Bon Ton, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom) – Ladies Clothing Stores (check near the cash for a display) – Home Parties – Flea Markets – and Craft Sales

My good jewellery (silver, gold, gemstones, & watches), I buy mostly at Jewellery Stores or Department Stores.  As I want to be as certain as possible of what I am buying… be that because the item is “name brand” or has some sort of Certification.

They can be small Family Jewellers (best in Canada for finding Canadian Certified Diamonds) or National / International Chains (Birks, Peoples or Mappins = Zales, Ultra Diamonds, Kays, Diamonds International etc.)

Hope this helps,

Dillards!

I *think* I may be wearing the following – but I havent tried it on with my dress.  They all have the faux pearl insets like the necklace, but the stock photos only showed rhinestones for the necklace and bracelet.
