I feel like the majority of bees are from the East Coast, but I could be wrong. I thought I would post a poll just to get a feel from where everyone's posting from!
I know my groups are pretty random, I hope the poll is still easy to answer.
I voted South, but (and this isn't me being a cocky Texan), I think Texas deserves its own category. Texas doesn't quite fit into the "South," the way the other Gulf Coast states would. And "West," could be anything from Colorado to California.
Good idea for a poll!
@bells219: sorry! i didn't want there to be too many categories, so I just googled the census regions...there are only four! sorry that the categories are so broad everyone!!!

ETA: This way of classification seems kinda weird to me though because Delaware is considered a southern state--I have never thought of it as a southern state! If you guys have a better way of creating state groups, let me know!!
I picked other because I'm from IL, but that's not where I'm living for the next year, and after this, I'm not sure where I'll be living. I'm a resident of IL though so perhaps I should have based my vote off of that lol
Midwest; lovely Ohio. Use to live in the south and I'm determined to move back there and die there!
Hehehe the Aussies/Kiwis are surprisingly ahead for the time being... Filipino New Zealander signing in here.
I picked other because I'm in the Middle East and we've been neglected from the poll :p
Threadjack!! Do you mind if i ask where in Oz you are and how you found the transition...?? Fi and I may be moving in september...
@MissGreen: I live on the eastcoast now, but I was born and raised in the South. Like you, "I'm determined to move back there and die there" (This statement literally made me LOL)!
As a southern girl, I must say, if Delaware is the south, that thing is wrong. We consider the South from Virginia down. Northeners says Maryland and DC are too, but if your restaurants don't sell sweet tea on the regular, it's not the south. :-D
@sweetpea87: Amen!! The only place we can get sweet tea is Chickfila. I'm in Baltimore and it's FAR from the South!
@sweetpea87: I think everything below the Mason Dixon line is considered "the south". It does include Maryland but not Delaware. We have sweet tea in some places up here but this sure as hell aint south.
@ticatica I love Australia and really don't miss anything about the U.S., apart from my family and friends. I live in Sydney and had been here previously (came here for a summer in college, backpacked around the country after college -- got obsessed and knew I had to move back!!). I've been living here for about 4 years and the transition was very easy. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions!
@sweetpea87: I had no idea ppl considered Maryland to be the South. I live there now, and I voted east coast. I guess that's because I'm from the "Real South" & we definitely don't consider Maryland to be the South. Hell, parts of Virginia don't really strike me as Southern.
Here is a link to the Bee Map thread that let everyone post where they lived, it was pretty interesting.
Atlanta. I don't like it here! I moved here from the West Coast and I feel like I fit in there over this place.
OMG...2 of you to ask.....where are you in Oz and how do you like it???!! I' sorry to the OP for threadjacking twice!!
other europe... :-/
think I'm one of the few bees in scandinavia
@MASPA: Yeah, that Mason-Dixon line nonsense....j/k. :-D
I spent my freshman year of college in DC before I transferred, and the culture differences were such that I am now a huge advocate of moving the aforementioned line. Haha. The people I was around that thought Maryland was "The South" were my classmates, who were all from New York/New Jersey/New England.
I voted south because I live in the bottom of Virginia (as in nearly half my high school graduating class were from North Carolina!)
I'm in Maryland which, as the bees have been discussing, can be the North or the South depending on who you ask.
