I put mine between the seat backs on the arm rest. My purses are huge so they pretty much stay put.
If I'm alone it goes on the passenger seat, if I have someone else in the car it goes on the floor in the back seat.
If its small to shove itbetween me and the door. If its too big it goes on the back seat or if I know the passenger well enough they can hold it or put it at their feet
If alone in the passenger seat, if have someone with I put it on the floor by my feet and make sure it is hugging my seat so it doesnt bother me driving

I put it in the passenger seat, but when that is filled it goes on the FLOOR in the back. I put it on the floor because it doesn't roll around nearly as much as on the seat.
On the floor of the front passenger seat...unless I have someone with me who is not my husband (then it goes on the floor behind the passenger seat). Poor DH puts up with having my purse next to his feet if he is my passenger, though!
Agreed -- if someone is in the car with me, I toss it in the back seat, and sometimes, that can be a little disastrous.
Either the passenger seat, or the floor of the passenger seat. Occasionally on the floor in the back of the car, but most of my passengers are fine with having a purse at their feet.
It always goes in the passenger seat if nobody is there and in the passenger seat floorboard if somebody it. I usually put it close to the side or the seat so it wont be in the way of their legs.
In the passenger's floor. I used to leave it in the passenger's seat, but then I was paranoid that someone could walk up and snatch it if I kept the window down in the summer.
Same as a lot of ladies, on the passenger seat if no one's there, on the floor behind one of the seats if there is. Unless its someone close to me, sometimes I'll put it in between their leg and the center console
Same as almost everyone it seems. Passenger seat if I am alone and back seat floor behind the passenger seat if someone is with me. Sometime I throw it on the back seat and sometimes if it is small and I am driving my SO I ask him to hold it.
I put it on the passenger seat if no one is there.
If someone is in the car with me, I put it on my left leg, leaning against the car door.
Someone should really design a vehicle where there is spot just for a purse. Then we wouldn't have these problems
This post is so awesome- I literally tell my DH that I want to design a car with a purse console! Its so annoying, especially since it has my id, my cell and everything else I may need in it.... How has this not been invented yet?!
I put it on the passenger seat when I'm alone. When I have a passenger, I put it at their feet (sorry, friends!) and hook the straps around the gear shift (it's an automatic) so it doesn't roll away or bump into their feet.
When I am by myself driving it goes on the passenger seat, if I have a passenger I either put it on the passenger seat floor or shove it between me and the driver side door. If all else fails it gets thrown in the backseat. When I used to drive one of the new honda civics I was able to hook the purse strap over the shifter (it was an automatic) so it never spilt anywhere, but in my new car I can't do that even though its an automatic as its designed differently. I wish cars had a spot for purses.
My purse goes on the floor next to the door on the drivers side. It never gets in my way, it’s easy enough to get stuff out of if I need to and it’s right there when I get out of the car. I used to toss it in the backseat but that’s not convenient for me since I’m constantly going in it for something. If I’m alone in the car, it’s in its obvious place on the passenger side seat.
If I'm by myself, which is most of the time, I put it on the passenger seat. If I'm driving with someone in the passenger seat, I throw it in the back, which is a pain. I have short arms and a big back seat, so instead of being able to reach back and get it before getting out of the car, I have to open the back door to get it. Wow, that makes me sound incredibally lazy!
When I use a small bag, it goes in between the driver and passenger seat. When I use a large bag, it goes in the back on the floor (which I hate because then I can never get to it to get stuff out of it).
If I'm alone, passenger seat, if I'm not alone... then it depends on the person, haha. If it's a close friend, my family, FI's family, I'll probably just shove it under them on the passenger side floor (so graceful, I know!) if it's someone that I'm not super comfortable with, then I'd put it in the back.
Usually on the passenger seat if there is no one sitting there. Otherwise it goes right on the floor of the passenger seat as close to the side as possible.

It's either on the passenger seat or, if I have a passenger, on the floor in front of the passenger seat. I would never put it on the floor on the driver's side. Too risky.
Passenger side on the floor or in seat. I never carry a purse anymore though.

I always struggle with where to put my purse when I am driving and I have a passenger in the front seat. I end up throwing it in the back, but it rolls all over the place, and sometimes I forget to zip it up and it's a mess. Where do you put your purse in the car?
