I take my rings off when I bathe, put in hair product, put on lotion, do the dishes...those kinds of things. I've been installing hooks, like cup hooks, in the places where I take them off to do things like that so they won't get lost and I know where to find them if I forget to put them back on.
I just wondered what other Bees are doing.
I don't take mine off very often, but when I do, I put it in it's case so it doesn't fall down any drains or I forget where I put it :)
I really don't take mine off all that often. When I sleep, it's on the bedside table. When I workout its on the coffee table in the basement (which is where I workout). When I cook/do dishes/etc. it's on the kitchen table. I never keep it off for an extended period of time, so I'm not afraid I'll lose it.
I put mine in the same place everytime, my jewlery box.
EDIT: I should mention that I have a cat that has caused me to loose a lot of jewelry thats why it goes in the same spot. She flings anything we set on a table and actually ate an earring once...she can't be trusted.
I take mine off at night before I go to bed, and I leave it off until I've showered and gotten ready so I don't snag it on clothes or anything. I put it in a little bowl near my bed in my room, far away from drains or air conditioning ducts :).
I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a cute box that sits next to the sink in the bathroom. If I take it off it goes inside there.
I take mine off when I shower, put lotion on, wash dishes, but thats about it. I usually leave it close by, but never take it off for too long!
I bought a ring box, and I put it in the ring box (by my bed) EVERY SINGLE TIME I take the ring off. I really had to train myself to do this, as I lose my car keys at least twice a day...but I've never put the ring anywhere else, and after 18 months I still haven't lost it! I even take the ring box with me when I travel.
I take mine off for a lot of things; 90% of the time it goes in a ring box (they're big and red and can't be knocked over/open), but if I'm taking a shower I'll sometimes put it on a hook in the medicine cabinet.
I put mine on my dresser in the same spot every time I take it off so I know where it will be. My MIL gave me a lenox ring holder which I love, so I will probably start to use that. :)
It looks something like this
When I sleep, they go back in their box. When I shower, my wedding band goes on the shelf over the sink. I take my e-ring off as soon as I get home and leave my wedding band on for pretty much everything else.
I take mine off for showering/sleeping/lotion. It always goes in the same exact spot. If it's not on my finger it's in that spot. It's a little jewelery box that I picked up at a thrift store. I wish I had a picture, it's gorgeous!
I have a wooden ring box that it came in that I keep in my top bathroom drawer with some other jewelry. That's the only place it ever goes when it's off of my finger.
If I take them off for cooking, cleaning, miscellaneous whatever, they go in my jeans pocket. For bed, showers, etc, I have a tiny litte rosary box that I had given to my grandmother a couple years ago (I bought it for her at the Vatican knowing she would treasure it, I'm not religious but I love that my grandmother loved it so much), when she passed away my Aunt gave it back to me. I love having that little part of her in my daily routine!
I am terrible with this. I take my ring off and put it on my kitchen table or on my dresser, but sometimes other places. So far it's worked out, but I probably should get a permanent storage place.
I take it off when I'm cleaning with solvents, doing lab work with gloves, or examining patients. If I put on lotion, I usually hold the ring between my lips for the ten seconds it takes me to smear it on my hands and then I put it back. But otherwise, I keep my ring on.
I have a ring holder that my grandmother gave to me that I keep in the bathroom and put my ring there!
@june42011 - That is too funny about your cat. I had a dog that ate my diamond earrings once...
I keep my ring in my jewelry box when I shower and put on lotion!
I have a ring dish that I keep on the nightstand (FH gave it to me for our anniversary, shortly after we got engaged), so I put it there. I also have a small ceramic sake cup in the kitchen that I'll put it in if I don't feel like running back to the bedroom.
I have a little jewelry "cup" where I put it when I take it off.
I put mine in a votive candle holder on my built in bookshelf. Like june, I also have a cat that will pretty much get into anything. He's even knocked over my jewelry box before so I figure the votive candle holder is as safe a place as any since he can't get on the shelf!
I take mine off before bed, shower, dishes, or cooking with messy food. I put it back in the ring box it came in. ^_^
I just got a ring holder as a gift from a furniture store for buying a couch (very odd gift if you ask me) so now I will be using that. I only take my ring off while I do my hair/put on lotion/do dishes/use chemicals so it may not get used very often.
I have the box FI gave it to me in and I put the ring in the box on my nightstand whenever I am not wearing it.
The box my ring came in has a light inside so that you can propose at night, which FI did. I'm scared to open it too often because I'm worried that one day the little light bulb will burn out. Not that I need it to light up for anything, but if for some reason I want to open it, I want there to be light darn it!
One of my bridesmaids gave me a ring holder as an engagement gift. It's a cute silver elephant with its trunk up to put the ring on. They say that an elephant is good luck and never forgets so it seems fitting! It's from Red Envelope.
I also take my e-ring off before I shower, do my hair, or put on lotion. I put my ring in the box from the jewelers, on my bedside table. If I'm putting on hand lotion throughout the day, I put my ring in my pocket briefly until the lotion dries and then I put my precious right back onto my finger.
Mine is still very new but so far when i take it off its in the ringbox on my nightstand.
Never take mine off. In fact, when I first got engaged I was moonlighting as a bartender and even still didn't take it off. I love my e-ring!
My friend gave me a beautiful crystal ring holder as an engagement gift that that's exactly where my ring goes when I take it off!
If I'm cooking, baking or cleaning, I usually am wearing jeans so I'll stick them in my front pocket. However, in times like now when I can't or don't wear jeans (have to ice my knee several times a day) I stick them on the peppermill on top of the fridge
When I shower I fill a cup with alittle warm water to clean it and put it on the back corner of the counter
We both take our rings off as soon as we get home. We have a little elephant ring holder on the table right beside the door.
I have a Waterford ring holder for my rings. I seldom take my e-ring or wedding band off, though.
My mom gave me a Waterford crystal ring holder. It is beautiful! I got it for Christmas. My grandma gave all of her daughters one when they got engaged. Sadly, she passed away when I was 12, but my mom carried on the tradition. I love it! :-)

As an OR RN, I can't wear my e-ring. When I go to work, I leave it at home.
When I'm working around the house, I have a ceramic dish where I leave my rings and watch. When I'm in the bed/bath room, I leave it in the ring dish.
I take off my ring when I take a shower and cook. I am really paranoid about my ring falling down a drain, so I have two little boxes (1 in the bathroom and 1 in the kitchen) to put my ring in.
I put it back in the ring box and it always sit right by my bed on the night stand.
I put it back in its box and in the drawer where my boyfriend is hiding it...hehehe. I'm bad I know.
No but seriously, when I take off the other (non-e) rings I wear everyday I put them in a little ring box beside my jewelry box. I always want to know where they are.
Like many others, i put mine in the box it came in when i go to boxing or the beach. When im at home, it lives on the random cow on the shelf.
