So i’m writing our ceremony. Here is pretty much what i have. The welcoming part, and the opening where our officiant will talk about us and love. Then we will transition into the hand ceremony, Then do our vows and ring exchange. Then he will present us as husband and wife. Fiance really wants to include I do in there. But were writing our own vows. So where does it go?

Maybe after the vows? You can each read your vow, then your officient can ask do you take Mrs. to be your lawfully wedded wife/husband/spouse. You each say I do and get pronounced husband and wife.

I always thought that the “I do”s went after the vows, but before the ring exchange. But I have seen ceremonies here on WB where they STARTED with the “I do”s, then did the vows with the ring exchange. So my guess is you can chuck it in whenever you want. : D

I think we are going to do something like…
Blah blah blah beginning business…
-personal vows that we write ourselves
-“Do you, Miss Fish, take Mr. Fish, to be your husband, to have and to hold, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, foresaking all others till death do you part?” I DO.
-ring ceremony (wording of which will be determined).
