Where was everyone born and raised?
I was born in Taiwan, where my American dad (a structural engineer) was doing a feasibility study for the subway system. We spent a year there... a year in Japan with my mom's mom (my mom is from Tokyo)... and a year in Korea (I think my dad worked on an airport there).
Then my parents moved to Northern Virginia when I was 3 or 4, where we lived until I graduated from high school. When I was still in HS, my parents moved to Manila for work - they've lived in the Philippines since then, although I've only visited about 5-6 times or so (they usually visit the States, rather than the other way around). I like the Philippines a lot, but don't consider it "home".
After growing up in Virginia, it was off to college in New Hampshire where I spent 4 years being extremely cold. After college, I worked in DC and then SF... and eventually moved to NY, where I've been for a decade (omg, I'm getting so old).
I definitely consider myself a New Yorker and feel most at home in NY, although I wasn't even born here. The strange thing is that I lived in Virginia slightly longer than I have in NY, but I don't consider myself a Virginian! I am a traitorous resident, which is kinda strange because I'm usually super loyal to things in my life.
Where have you lived... and which part of the country do you most consider "home"?
busan, korea
duluth, minnesota
los angeles, ca
berkeley, ca
ny, ny
I love California, but New York is home now!
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. But after moving out and going to college I traveled a lot.
From Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota, Kentucky. But now I am back in Texas and I love texas. It is where I have spent most of my time. It is where my heart and home is.
I've lived in MD my whole life, I grew up about 15 minutes from where I live now. I was born and raised in Curtis Bay which isn't so great now but wasn't bad when I was growing up and we're also getting married there. I moved to Pasadena when I was 11 and have been here ever since. Not very interesting or exciting, and it makes it very hard to actually leave here and start fresh somewhere else
I grew up just outside Atlantic City, NJ. After college I moved to the Los Angeles area. Now I am in a suburb outside Philadelphia, Pa.
Born and raised in NY state (a little north of NYC)
College in New Haven, CT
Grad school in South Jersey
Then, having completed my tour of the tri-state area...
Post-doc in Cambridge, MA
I was born in Ireland & lived there until high-school.
Moved to Boston with my parents & lived there until I graduated HS - then SLC, Utah for a year, Killington, VT for 3 years, Houston, TX for 5 years, Omaha, NE for 2 years, & back to Boston 4 years ago. I feel sometimes like I don't have a "home" type of place although I still consider Ireland "home" as that's where most of my family are...

I am so impressed with all your moving, but as katrinab said I love love love Boston! :)

Went to college in South Bend, IN (Go Irish!), and spent a year abroad in Angers, France.
Moved to Hoboken, NJ for my first job that was in Manhattan.
After a few years, I realized that New York was not the place for me. So I moved to Chicago. I've been here for almost 7 years, and I love it! But I think we'll eventually move somewhere a bit warmer. This New Mexican needs some heat!

I loved the college town feel of Athens and Boone, but VA feels like home now.

I'm a boring one too. I've lived in four places (five if you count school) all within 40 miles of eachother in the Chicago suburbs. It's been nice to always be close to family (we all live within an hour of eachother--both sides of the family)
My move to San Diego after I'm married will be my first time living out of the Chicago area, and out of state!
I'm also boring. I've lived in the same city all my life: Calgary, AB. But I have spent extended amounts of time in Germany (3 months) and Greece (1 month), so I guess that I've lived there, too!
