Have you checked local parks? We're getting married at a town park and it's only costing $100!
Check out local park districts! Many have gardens, buildings, etc that are beautiful. Here in Chicago there are a lot of gorgeous potential ceremony sites, but we're just going with our reception site because it fits us. I also love art galleries, etc, but those are going to be pricier.

We are getting married below the hill on the river at the venue! So the ceremony will be down by the river (having an arch made and hope it's that pretty) and the reception will be outdoor on the hill overlooking the river. Love the idea of weddings on the water...
are there any places that can hold your guests like museums, intimate restaurants or private clubs? tops of buildings? once you start to think outside the box, the possibilities open up!
