I went through my closet this weekend and realized I am down to 1 pair of jeans, and I really don’t like how they fit me so I’m pretty much at no jeans. I also have no shorts so…yeah I told DH we need to go shopping.
I used to purchase Silver jeans, but that was back when I was a teenager and everything I made was spending money. I don’t want to spend any more than $50 on a pair, truthfully I don’t want to spend any more than $25 for that matter. I have already looked around at Goodwill in our town, and there’s never anything in my size, it’s all size 16+.
Does anyone have suggestions for good fitting women’s jeans that aren’t a total budget killer? I also have to invest in shirts and such, dang body changes! I have a curvy figure and wear a size 12. Thanks ladies!

Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, or Saks. For cheaper options: Urban Outfitters or Zara

@PacificMrs: New York and Company has jeans for every figure and height!! Plus they have a bunch of different washes and leg styles.

I have such a hard time finding jeans because I’m short, and my calves are skinny, so every single pair of skinny’s I try on are baggy. I buy mine from Bootlegger, they are Mavi’s. I like Lucky Jeans as well, but they are nice for a boot cut leg, more casual looking. I used to own a pair of Gap 1969 low rise, however the ass wore out in no time, and they kind of looked like mom jeans on me.

Macy’s around where I am has a lot of jeans and a variety of price ranges! It’s the one store I can find pants that aren’t too short for me;]

I like Gap and LOFT, although last time I went shopping at LOFT they had a very limited selection of jeans. If you are near outlets, the Levi’s outlet is a beautiful place. The selection of sizes and fits is great, and I usually spend under $50 on a pair there.

I prefer hollister or aero for jeans, I don’t wear jeans very often so I don’t like to spend tons of $ for jeans to just sit in the closet and not be worn.

Penny’s, Gap, Nordstrom, on line.
i’m 5’3″ and have full hips, so jeans shopping is hard.

I buy mine from Buckle, which is pretty expensive but they have a pretty good clearance rack. I like them because I can get extra long and they fit good around the thigh and butt.
I cant buy jeans from Target because they’re not long enough but last time I went they had 6 different types of fit and a pretty good selection, so it may be something to look into.
NY&Co is good too. I buy all my work clothes from there, I havent got any jeans from there but they have a good selection of nice jeans. And they have really good coupons, I signed up for there credit card just for the discounts and it has really paid off, you can ALWAYS get $50 off $100 and things like that, and the first time you sign up you get an extra % off your order. (I dont work for them, I just think its a good credit card..and you can pay it off every month and don’t have to have a balance which is what I do)

It used to be Maurice’s; their Taylor Boot was the perfect jean for me, and only $29! But, then they stopped selling that particular “model”, so now I buy Levi’s 515s from Kohl’s. They’re bootcut, not low-rise, they last a reasonable amount of time for $40 jeans, and they come in washes I like.
I was in Maurice’s the other day for a sweater and almost peed myself when I saw a sign advertising the Taylor Boot, but when I ran over with the intent of buying as many pairs as I could find in my size, I was saddened to see that they got all “trendy”. Dark wash with pale thighs, whiskers under the front pockets, button flaps on the back pockets… *sigh*. We used to be so good together…

I think investing in a good pair of jeans is a must. I love ag jeans

I love American eagle outfitters, I just wait until they become 29.99 and stock up, they always go down to that price haha. Plus I wear out jeans so fast (even expensive ones) it doesn’t seem worth it to spend more than that.
My favorite is the super stretch skinny, fits like a glove.

‘ve had good luck at marshall’s/tjmaxx. but the best jeans i have are from walmart of all places, lol. i’m very short and skinny and contrary to popular belief, it IS hard for us petite girls to find clothes that fit. the jeans i have from walmart fit me perfectly and i always get compliments on them. the 2 pairs i have are starting to get a little worn out, so hopefully wally-world still carries them.

I normally hate shopping for jeans, I have such a hard time finding ones that fit because I have a small frame and not much butt. I am newly obsessed with UNIQLO! They have so many sizes and do alterations in store for free! Prices are super low and the quality is great comparably.
