Ok, when I saw the title of this post, I thought in my head, "ooo! JCrew and Anthropologie!" Buuuuuut, then I read your post, and since you've already been there, done that, my other suggestion would be to check out Etsy--there are some totally adorable dresses on there, and the people on Etsy can make them to your specifications, for really reasonable prices! Also, Nordstrom and Macy's have some really lovely dresses and sometimes have fantastic sales!
I just discovered this place and they have LOTS of very cute stuff:

Have you checked Modcloth? They always have really cute dresses!
Not sure about your budget but Nordstrom and Saks have lots of cute dresses. I also love BCBG dresses but wouldn't buy them full price - they're often on sale at places like Off Saks or Loehmanns. If you're looking on the lower end, I (shamefully) love Forever 21 dresses. Except I call it Forever 27, haha.
gotta check out Dillards. I always find great dresses there. They always have alot more on line than in the store.
@elaine-I secretly love Forever 21 too. Except I always joke that you could be 21 when you walk in but 30 by the tme you leave because the registers are so slow!
Ann Taylor has really cute bridesmaid dresses online, but they are so simple that I am thinking of getting one for the rehersal.
A Bee posted once about this awesome vintage inspired website... I don't have the link at work and I can't for the life of me remember what it's called! When I get home I will post it :)
Oooh thanks everyone!
@elaineathon - Oh how I would love to shop at BCBG...too bad their dresses are way too expensive for me!
Seems like modcloth is a popular suggestion - I'll give it a go!
p.s. I love forever 21! I never thought to look there...I'll check that out too :)
Sometimes you can get good deals on dresses at BCBG stores. I actually just got my shower dress from there... it was on sale for 70% off!
@Blueshoes2 - Super cute! Hooray for sales - I'll keep my eye out for some :)
No problem ladies! A Bee blogged about it once a while a go, I can't remember who it was though!
I second Anne Taylor Loft, also try macys.com, and thelimited.com

I've checked out the Jcrew and Anthropologie websites for cute shower/rehearsal dinner dresses -- saw a few contenders -- but I need a few more ideas of places to check out. I'm not going the white shower/rehearsal dress route, so I'm totally into colors and patterns. Any ideas for where I can look aside from the Jcrew and Anthropologie websites?
Thanks :)
