We are sending out our STD's next month and our invites in about 6 months.  I don't have our website up and running.  We planned on putting our website info on our invitation.  Is that right? Or does it go on the STD's?  When are you including it?

I would (am going to) include it on both!

I would include it in the save the date information. The reason I wouldn't include it in the invites is that you may have some traditionalists who are offended by anything like that. For the same reason you wouldn't include registry info cards which are also mentioned on most websites.

I put it on both. Our invites were pocketfolds so I included it on one of the inserts. I would imagine that if you put it on STDs only, people might have misplaced them by the time the invites come. On the other hand if you want people to use your website to plan their travel, accommodation etc, you might want them to have it sooner than they get their invites, which is why both makes sense to me. I only put up a few pages before we sent our STDs out (didn't take long), and then put more pages up before the invites went out.

I included our website in the invitation and the STD.  I also got my friends/family to spread the word about the website.  You'll be surprised how many guests (including tech-savy guests) ask you questions that are clearly answered on your wedding website!

We're including it on the STD, and maybe again on the invite (not sure what those will look like yet). I think the whole point of the STD is to get the information out there earlier, so having people have access to the hotel/registry info is key. Plus, they'll like to see the cute side of the website - the photos, the story, etc and get excited for you!

We're putting it on both. And spreading the word so people actually look at it. I'm putting a lot of effort into trying to answer everyone's questions and suggesting local activities, so I want to make sure our guests use it!
