I’m a naturally well endowed bride, 36DD, and am wondering where I can purchase a very good strapless bra in the Bellingham, Washington area. I’m a tangible shopper and not one for online shopping. I’m ok with driving south to Seattle or north towards Vancouver, Canada. Any pointers in the right direction are very much appreciated. Thank you.

Try Victoria’s Secret but I suspect your hand will be forced to shop online for more options in your size.

Lane Bryant (they can size you here for sure)
1 Bellis Fair Pkwy #204 Bellingham, WA 98226
Fashion Bug (not sure if they size, I’d call to check)
7705 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA
Both of these places cater to the fuller-figured woman.

Have you ever been to a real shop other than Victoria Secrets to get measured… that’s the largest size they carry so if you’re large they say your a DD..
I would look for an undergarment shop in your area, idk where that is or I’d look for one for you, and go get measured by a professional… they should also carry a variety of strap/strapless/bustier types in their store =)

@runsyellowlites: ya and even if you’re a real DD, you don’t fit in there anyway. VS doesn’t work for me even though I’ve been measured at a 38DD at 3 other places. It’s a little sad.
I have 3 strapless bras. One from Fashion bug $48, one from Cacique (which is owned by the same people as Fashion bug) $68, the one that stays up and causes no issues with overflow, back fat or slipage, it’s from Target and it was $21.99 LOL. Try them on everywhere you might be surprised what you can find.

Pfft… I totally didn’t read all of your post..
Here’s a few fitting places
Bellefleur Lingerie Boutique
4000 East Madison Street
Seattle , WA
All of these places should be able to properly fit you and get you what you need =)

Try Nordstrom. If you need a longline, Davids Bridal carries the Dominique brand. However, the size definitly runs weird, so go in to try on. If this is for under your wedding dress, a long line will give you more support.

@Georgia Bee: I agree with David’s Bridal, too :). Cacique (which you would find at Lane Bryant’s) is a good brand, too, but their bras tend to wear out pretty fast (or at least they do once I get my chest into them, lol). I honestly wouldn’t even bother with Victoria’s Secret. They just add more fabric to their bras, they don’t actually change around any of the support system for bigger-chested girls, and I think we all know a size A needs different types of support than a DD.
But anyway, I got a strapless longline from David’s Bridal for a BM dress, and it’s actually pretty great. The corset back makes me feel really secure and it’s not moving around as I do. Wherever you buy it from, though, I would definitely get a longline!

@runsyellowlites: OMG! Tell me about it! Prior to being educated about it, I went into a VS and asked if they carried my bra size (at the time it was 32G) – the attendant looked at me like I had 6 heads then proceeded to tell me that such a size certainly doesn’t exist and that even if it did, I didn’t look THAT big. She took out a measuring tape and wrapped it around me and said: “See, you’re a 38DD” – this was the middle of winter and I was wearing a ski jacket! VS is useless for bigger girls.
to OP: Nordstrom is great and sometimes, you can get lucky in Macy’s. If you decide to change your mind about buying online, figleaves.com and barenecessities.com are awesome!

@RinaRoo lol… I’m not well endowned by any means but I’ve seen enough girls get mis-sized that I won’t even have them measure me…. I mean the last time I gave in and let them, NOTHING in that size fit right. lol
