Sapphires are rarely cut as princess cuts because the faceting does not really agree with the sapphire crystal.

Are you set on that cut or do you just want something square?

The only place I have ever seen a princess white sapphire is Africagems.com. They sell them in calibrated sizes. They only have them up to 5.5mm.

It’s hard to find a good natural princess cut white sapphire online. Chatham makes the best lab created sapphires. However I don’t know if they have retailers outside of the U.S. or Canada. They can custom cut you a princess cut white sapphire. I’m going through a local retailer to have a lab created white sapphire cut. Maybe you could call or email them? I’ve seen them in person & they’re exquisite. You might also want to check Etsy if you’re only looking for a natural white sapphire or the Natural Sapphire company. The natural Sapphire Company doesn’t have a category for princess cut but I’ve heard if you contact them they might be able to obtain one.

@FutureMrsHallam: If anything, the lab created sapphire would be better quality because there’s no natural inclusions.

@FutureMrsHallam:  A lab stone will not be heat treated since it is made in a heat and pressure process so the treatment is not necessary.

@FutureMrsHallam:  Honestly, I’m not sure. I don’t know much about gemstones. I know more about diamonds, which is ironic, because my engagement ring will have a gemstone as a center stone. 😛

@FutureMrsHallam:  I am, technically! We’re basically engaged, but he’s making payments on the ring now, and he hasn’t formally proposed yet. However, I do have a picture of the setting. This was the setting in the store, so the center stone obviously isn’t going to be the one in this picture. I’m actually getting a 1.31 ct cushion cut peach-champagne sapphire.

What do you want to know about natural vs unnatural vs treated stones? I can answer those questions :). I know a lot about sapphires. Love them to pieces.

@FutureMrsHallam:  haha, well I have pretty simple style! That’s not true, I like fashion and dressing up, I just have the money or the patience to do it, haha. But I love my ring! It’s simple, yet detailed at the same time. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
