This is a hard one. Pillar candles are generally pretty expensive, for a 6″ inch you’re going to be paying about $4 each.

Could you go with taper candles instead? They are alot cheaper and you can get taper candle holders from the dollartree for $1 each.

Surprisingly…We bought all our candles at IKEA. We didn’t use large pillars, but smaller ones and they were 4/$2 and tapers 12/$4 I think.  I know they have larger pillars but I don’t know the cost.  Out tapers were enclosed, large pillar shaped vases with sand in the bottom and tapers stuck in.

We looked at both these sites before we opted for this route, though I have never bought from them, priced looked ok:

I have been having the same issue; where to get a lot of candles at a good price.  QuickCandles, Yummi, and Koyal Wholesale all have a lot of candles, but their shipping costs are so high.  And since I am looking for more colors than standard white or ivory, selection is lower and prices are higher.

I bought my candles through amazon, though they were tealights
