Mine is from Spence – you choose the style, but you can get whatever quality of diamond you want. There’s one on Langley and one in Vancouver on Burrard, but you’re probably heard the radio announcements! However, I don’t think that the diamonds are certified by the GIA… It’s some other certification.

Or you can go to Minichiello – they are awesome! The store is on Robson.

If you are still looking for something customized, check our Era Designs in Yaletown. Or if you are looking for something a bit different and artistic, head to Aurum-Argentum Goldsmiths on Grandville Island. This is where I’m having mine done by Kristen.

@blackswan:  Juvelisto in Steveston.  Talk to Sasha, and tell her Duncan sent you.  She’s amazing.

He can make ANYTHING you want, I have a super high quality diamond in my ring he made, and he is nice and reasonable as well!

He is a family friend of my fiances brother, and he has done both mine, my friends, and my future SILs rings – all completely different but great quality and totally suiting us/our budgets.

Best service and best diamonds are not with a big bright jewellery store. The smallest store in any mall is $10,000 a month rent. Now start adding up all the merchendise you see in the store all the people/salary running around and “helping” you. To any MALL jewellery store youre a number, a margin call a customer that has to buy and has to increase the sales for the month.

You need to go to the place  that has relatively small expenses, and that relies on word of mouth marketing. If the expenses are low and if they want you as a repeat client, they will want you to be happy and your friends to envy the size, look of your diamond ring.

I also suggest you get GIA certified diamond, insist on it.

We have gotten our Round Brilliant Cut Halo diamond ring at http://www.purediamond.ca

See the picture, I know its a very popular design but I love it.

The office is in downtown and the guys running it were really great at explaining all the newances and pitfalls one might make while looking for a diamond.

The have microscopes and show you the diamond in great detail before you buy it.

This place is close to where I live so I often pass it – I think they do exclusively custom designs (I may be wrong), but I’ve never been inside since I think they’re appointment only. http://eradesign.ca/ Happy ring hunting! 🙂

Oh funny, I didn’t realize this thread was 2 years old until right now – hopefully it can benefit another Vancouverite 😉

if you’re looking for customized rings, Montecristo will do it.  Their rings were pretty good quality.
