I have two Jr. Bridesmaids and one flowergirl that will be participating in our wedding next month. I have been browsing the web in search of nice, affordable shoes for them, but am coming up at a loss for options. I feel as if I have checked all of the conventional places, walmart, target, payless, sears, ect, but either the shoes are horrible or the prices are more than I spent on my shoes! Does anyone have any other recomendations on where to look?

@ThreeMeers: probably a flat or sandle, with a low heal. I’m not too picky and as my whole bridal party is mismatched I don’t have any constraints a certain style, or them all getting the same shoe. My biggest problem is that I want them red to match my bridesmaids shoes, but I can’t find anything in red!

Its a tough time of year for red. Is there anything you can find that is dyeable or are you open to diy glitter shoes?

I have been looking into the diy glitter option, I think this is what I’m probably going to end up doing. The only other thing I can think of is hitting tjmaxx and thrift stores. I want to see if there are any other avenues I’ve missed before resolving myslef to adding yet another diy to my list right before the wedding…

@auggiefrog: It’s hard to be specific as you didn’t give the age or size of the girls. Go to
http://www.shopstyle.com and do a search for girls red shoes- 65 pages of results.

Payless chances are they wont wear the show but once plus the flower girl will out grow them save some money and try Payless they can have some cute shoes

Keep the shoes simple with minimal straps and something that doesnt flex a ton and its easy to glitterfy them. I did a pair of my shoes in 3 hours including drying between coats using the modpodge and glitter mix technique. If you get inexpensive shoes you dont need to worry about them lasting forever (high flex and heavy wear means flacking glitter).

Thank you!! I’ve been looking for the same thing for our eight year old flower girl and our 13 year old maid of honor (both our daughters). Red shoes are HARD to find!!! I’m about ready to just get them each a pair of red satin Isotoner slippers and call it good!
