Wow, that is a very nice ring. I tried to talk my FI into a tungsten ring, but he said no way because he works with his hands and he doesn’t want to chance it breaking or not being able to get it off, if something happens. He also wanted a comfort band, so he would be sure to wear it without it being uncomfortable.

I think if you can find a better deal online, than why not? BUT I do recommend doing some reserach on the company that you are buying from, just to make sure it’s legit!

The ring for your FI is 8mm. That is quite wide. That is 5/16″.

Here is some information on the site we are considering to let you know widths of the rings.

I have been using a tape measure to measure where the ring will fit on my FI finger.

I got FH’s ring @ Zales.com. Was very reasonable and arrived quickly in perfect condition.

Edit: Sorry. I just saw above post…

I didn’t vote because in my opinion in depends on what kind of ring he wants.

My fiance wanted a tungsten band. We bought that in a regular jewelry store (Kay) because it was realatively inexpensive it really didn’t matter where we got it.

If we would have done a platinum ring for him, we would have gotten it from a reputable online jeweler.

    Congratulations!!!

We have a ring on lay-a-way there too for my FI, but it is twice as much as I want to spend. That is why I am looking elsewhere. The ring that he likes at Shane is over $700.00.
