I’m really interested in getting earrings but I know there are lots of ladies on here with synthetic or lab created diamonds (idk the lingo so feel free to correct me).
Pretty much, I’m looking for diamond earrings (studs) that won’t break the bank but are still diamonds/look like diamonds. I googled it but idk if there are recommended companies or websites to buy this stuff. We don’t have ajeweler or anything like that.
Also, do these lab diamonds hold up as well as natural diamonds? I wear mine everyday and dont take them out normally so that’s also a concern!

i have two pairs of genuine diamond studs that i bought from belden jewelers. each pair was under $100. they’re small, but just right for my ears. i think my larger pair is 1/4 total weight and my smaller is 1/8 total weight.
i know that moissaniteco does moissanite studs, and schubachs does as well. i know schubachs offers clarity enhanced diamonds as well.

@colorofmyheart: Yeah, I have 1/2 total ( so 1/4 each) now but I would love some a little bigger and square.
I think I’m looking for moissanite. If found mossaniteco.com

Well, if you are looking for lab grown diamonds (pure carbon), there is d.neadiamonds.com. You’d have to contact them for available stock as not all their diamonds are on their website at once with regards to size, color, cut, etc.
For a diamond simulant, Wink CZ and Asha both come highly recommended. For earrings, they are great, and they both come in true princess cut. Wink will be cheaper but just as good cut, and would both hold up about the same over time for earrings (they’ll last fo an incredibly long time and look beautiful!).
If you are looking at a white sparkly stone that isn’t CZ or diamond, Moissanite is a gorgeous gemstone with a lot of fire and the durability to last you the rest of your life! (Your great-great-great-great grandkids too!)My big issue with moissanite in square cuts is that it mostly comes in what they call a “square brilliant”, which I’m not a fan of. Have you considered cushion cuts? They have a fairly square shape and more sparkle than the square brilliant. 😀 They usually look whiter too!
Is there a certain price range or size you are looking into, so we might be able to post recomendations/links?

@MrsCassie thanks! I do like the cushion cut ones. Theyre Very pretty. I don’t like the incredibly sharp edges of some princess cuts But I like the square shape.
Im thinking 1 carat, so 1/2 a stud and probably max $500. I love mine now but would like something a little more substantial. I was reading the mossy vs diamond thread and I’m super intrigued by them! Science rocks 🙂 there’s just so many types/names being thrown out, I’m not sure what to look for!

Well, there are these ones, available in 4.5mm and 5mm stones, although the 4.5mm ones would have about the same coverage as 5mm round brilliants, but for just a little more bling, you can still do the 5mm cushion cuts for less than $500. 😀
Or you could do the double prongs for just a few dollars over budget:
