Do you have any kind of paper store near you? I swear I saw ivory tissue paper at Paper Zone the other day...
I don't know about ivory specifically, but I found the best selection and best price on tissue paper at the Party Store.
Just get regular tissue paper from Walmart or Hallmark. It's all the same really.
Honestly though, white and ivory tissue really aren't that noticeably different. Only you would know or care they were different, and even with it being a single sheet, you probably wouldn't be able to tell.
Try a Hallmark, American Greetings, Swoozies, or Papyrus. Those places typically have that kind o' stuff.
Well here's the deal: I'm making my bouquets our of tissue paper/tissue paper carnations to be exact. My wedding dress is ivory. Do you think white flowers would clash too much?
Very few white flowers are pure white but are actually ivory instead. Unless you have the flowers (or anything else) against a stark white sheet of paper for example, you won't be able to tell a difference. Even the name ivory is misleading because some manufacturers use a soft white and call it ivory because it isn't stark white, while other manufacturers have a creamy yellow tint to it. Hardly anyone will see your bouquets up close and even then, they won't be able to tell that it's a shade different.
I saw ivory tissue paper at Fred Meyer on Saturday! Not sure if you have those stores around you, but I was surprised to see it there as it is kind of like an expanded grocery store. It was in with the gift bags and wrapping paper.
papermart.com - they have nice quality and its cheap (I use it for work)
I purchased mine at Michaels. They didn't have a huge assortment, but I am only using white so it turned out great for me. A word of caution- I had heard it was a good idea to use two tones of a color to give tissue paper balls more 'depth' so I also purchased tissue paper from Target. Mistake. It was an ivory so light it looked blue against the white from Michaels.
Just an idea if you can't find it:
I dyed my (pre cut) tissue paper a light ivory by steeping black English Breakfast tea, then laying the tissue sheets in a large cookie sheet, and then pouring the tea-water over, letting it sit for about two min. then carefully draining it out. I did a test sheet first to make sure it was the right color by dipping a piece of tissue in the tea-water and then blow drying it to check the color. Once you drain out the water, put the pan outside in the sun and it will all dry in a day. The more tea you use, the more of an antique color you get. The more water you use, the more of a creamy, ivory look you get. It's better than stark white tissue paper.

I went to Hobby Lobby, Target, Michaels and the Dollar Tree and can't find ivory tissue paper anywhere. Has anyone seen some anywhere? I know I can buy it online but I'd rather find it in town if possible?
Please help! (if you can :) )
