For parents who aren’t going to find out the baby’s gender before birth – where did you buy your unisex baby clothing? Every store I go into has a wall of pink and a wall of blue, and almost nothing that would be appropriate for both boys and girls. Suggestions?

What about hitting up Target or somewhere similar and looking for reds, yellows, greens, etc? Those can really go either way.

I did find out the gender but I knew that it was harder for those choosing not to find out the gender because of the lack of items out there. I would say, look into Carter’s or Osh Gosh. They may have what you are looking for.

I’ve been shopping at Target, Ross, and the Burlington Coat Factory. A lot of “outfit” type clothing is specifically gendered, but if you look for individual items like onsies, hats, and baby jeans, they can go either way. Also, it’s hard to find gender neutral clothes bigger than 9 months to a year, but that’s ok, since the parents will know the sex long before the baby grows into those sizes; look for newborn to 6 months clothing.
Unfortunately, a lot of the big name baby stores (Gymboree, Baby Gap, Babies R’ Us, etc…) really only carry gender specific clothing, so you might need to shop at other stores. In fact, one of the cutest items I have received so far is a cream colored long-sleeve onsie my mom picked up at Whole Foods. So random…
