I don't know much about this stuff but can you just buy sheets of vellum paper in the color you want and cover them?
@Wannabe-diy-bride: It's possible, I have not seen colored vellum before, only white though. I'll take a look around this weekend I guess!

We bought our uplights from save-on-crafts and they are awesome, very bright leds and we think they'll work great. They even came with the batteries, talk about saving money!
But they didn't sell gels. And when I go onto some of these DJ websites, I get so overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stuff you can buy, sizes, sheets or rolls, packs where you get three different colors when all I want is one...
Is anyone doing uplights themselves? Would love some insight! Thanks!
