We got my band custom made at Windy City Diamonds, 1 S. Wabash. We worked with Sarah and she was great.

Also try Dimend Scaasi, 5 S. Wabash (it's inside a big building). They were really nice and had a great selection of unique bands. Call to make an appointment with them.

we tried to price-shop along jeweler's row (or whatever that area is called) and it's like comparing apples to oranges because all the rings are slightly different!

We used Sarah at Windy City Diamonds, too! I agree -- she's great, and we found the perfect rings at reasonable prices!

Update: we went to Windy City Diamonds today and just happened to run into Sarah who was working there and free to help us!

We got exactly what we were looking for and at the most amazing prices... it's almost too good to be true!! So excited. Thanks for the suggestion!

We are going with Helzberg - that's where my engagement ring is from, which I love, so I wanted to get the matching band. But they have some very affordable bands for the groom! Especially the titanium ones.

Just in case someone else needs the info, but Landmark Jewelers in Niles is also a great place to buy jewelry. They offer competitive rates just like jeweler's row. Bonus for people who live in the burbs so it's not a long trek into the city..also, parking is free there.

We got my engagement ring from dimend SCAASI on jeweler's row and will be going back there for our wedding bands. We worked with Marta and the owner Isaac. They were so wonderful there. We also had been to Wabash Diamond Company who were very nice but just didn't have the same level of service. I know in December dimend SCAASI was running an offer for 10% off wedding bands if you both got them there which is a nice little bonus. My fiance and I just were really impressed with them.

We worked with Paul Schmelzle of Schmelzle and Sons on Jeweler's Row. I love our wedding bands, and we loved the price! And I enjoy saying the name Schmelzle. So it's a win-win-win! :)
