I previously posted about how 6 weeks from our wedding, my fiance and I decided to have 2 ceremonies. The first will be a private one at City Hall, and the second will be at our reception. Now we need an officiant for the second one, but I'm not sure how to find one!

We're both atheists, so I can't just ask someone from a church or have a friend get ordained. Also, technically the person doesn't even have to be a legal officiant, as we will already be legally married earlier in the day. Basically I just need a good public speaker, but I don't know any!

Where did you find your officiant?

Check them out! They were recommended to me by some people on WB, and I love what I've seen so far. :)

Despite the name, this is has totally secular people. With all of the same sex marriages in SF, you know there are people prepared to make it happen.

Thanks for the help, guys! I'm hoping that even though we don't have a lot of time, I'll be able to find someone because we're getting married on a Friday rather than Saturday.

Celebrants are awesome!  I'd reccomend checking out the Celebrant Institute to see if someone is available.  They'll completely work with you to customize the ceremony to your taste and beliefs (or lack there of, for atheism).

Just wanted to update and say that we found a great officiant on the site @monitajb recommended, and I think he'll be a wonderful addition to our day.

Thanks again for the help, everyone :)
