I was just gonna say etsy--I found this http://www.etsy.com/listing/58034016/customize-your-wedding-bow-sash-for?ref=sr_gallery_10&ga_search_query=sash&ga_search_type=category&category=weddings.accessories&ga_page=1&order=&includes[0]=tags&includes[1]=title
Thanks, I was thinking something a little more... polished? I really liked the organza one Mrs. Ribbons featured but didn't end up getting to wear. I'm terrible at DIY, though!
I'm looking for one like that too! Have you checked with any bridesmaids shops? I went to Bella Bridesmaids and they had a bunch of sashes for BMs. Can you have someone make one for you?
So you just want a plain sash you can tie? Do you have AC Moore stores where you live? I bought an aqua one there(but it was satin) in case I wanted to wear it, but it didn't match. They also had black, white and ivory...and were under $10. It's hard to tell what kind of material that one is in your inspiration picture(is that one silk?), but any fabric store will sell many widths of ribbon....
@smyley: Yeah, something simple! I just don't want it unraveling like a plain ribbon might, you know? I've never heard of those stores, are they like JoAnn? I actually don't know where any fabric stores are around here, but I'm sure we have them.
@Violet Violet: I might stop in the Vera Wang store and see if they have any left over from the line of dresses that had them. Maybe they'd be cheap since they usually came with the dresses?

I'm looking for a thin but dramatic black silk/ribbon type sash or belt. Anyone know where to find a good one? Etsy turned up some, er, not-so-desirable options.
