My guy’s friend is officiating our wedding. And while I’ve been a wedding coordinator for years, I’m usually not involved much in this part of the day and rarely hear the details.
Since we do not have a ‘real’ officiant, or one with experience, we need to be a little more involved in actually writing/creating our ceremony.
Any advice would be helpful! We are not very religious, but would like it to have a feeling of spirituality. We’re looking to include some Celtic items and a couple of readings.
No unity candle or sand ceremony or anything.
Any good websites or ideas?

Have you checked out theknot for vows? I liked some that they had… look under the “vow wording wizard” for some basics
And here’s some good info (or a good place to start) for the ceremony “rundown”
Hope that helps get you started =)

There is TONS of stuff out there. I got overloaded when I looked. We are not religious and not really spiritual so it was hard to find some thing just right. I saved a bunch of ceremonies and then started picking and choosing what I liked. I wound up “creating” it from bits and pieces of all sorts of ceremonies. But in the end its perfect for us! My fellow was really impressed – he said “Where did you find one so perfect for us?” **sigh** if he only understood! check out….
