I’ve found beautiful veils on BHLDN, but they cost more than my dress!! I thought about making a veil, but that’s too big of a task for a DIY novice like me to take on. For the peace of mind (and to get going with how I want my hair, accessories, etc.), I want to just buy one.
Do you have suggestions on where to find a cheap in price, but nice quality veil? I want a pretty simple one. Lenght I’m considering a shouler to fingertip length. I also wouldn’t mind buying second hand or anything. Thanks in advance, bees!

@Skittles131: I bought mine secondhand on Ebay. $25 and the seller said she paid $200+. It definitely was higher quality than the “new” cheap veil I bought on Ebay for $20!

@Skittles131: Did you check Esty? I’ve heard some positive feedback about that site. Well, some of the sellers anyway.

@Skittles131: I bought mine on Etsy and it was a good price – the veil is fine, but I don’t love the crystals she attached (they keep falling off!). I still think Etsy would be a good option, but make sure you shop around a little and read reviews.

I am getting mine custom done!
2 layers with alcelon lace edging and appliques at an elbow length – $85
The woman who is making it is in CA and she was so much fun to meet and talk to. Let me know if you’re interested in her info. Turn-around time is less than a month!

@Skittles131: A bee actually just mentioned a few days ago that she sells veils on Esty. I will try and think of her name. If you find any you like, you should make a thread and ask the bees if they have ever dealt with the sellers you’re considering. I’ve heard some horror stories so definitely read the reviews!
Personally, I’ve never bought anything off Esty but I’m a ways off from my wedding. I’m sure I will in the coming months.

Look to see if somewhere locally sells illusion bridal veils. It happen to be sold at a local chair rental place (weird I know) and i bought a gorgeous fingertip veil for 35 bucks. They do custom orders too, but unfortunately you can’t order directly through them unless you are a vendor

I found mine on Light in the Box for $10 – without a comb though. Definitely check them out!

@MrsTillerResq: that’s a pretty veil!!
@somethingblue04: that’d be great if you could find her name! And yes I’ll be sure to mention an etsy seller on here to get reviews if I find one 🙂

I don’t have a particular one because I looked at several before deciding I wanted a fascinator and then changing my mind and deciding I wanted nothing that all other than gold ban wrapped around the bun I had my hair placed in. I love etsy and I always look at the feedback and ask the seller several questions before placing an order, I have only had a bad expreience once and had I looked at the reviews and saw the slow process time, I wouldnt have made that mistake, but the beauty is you can open a claim up on ETSY which will usally resolve it and I always pay with PayPal.

I purchased on Etsy from abusymother (shop name). It was around $40 or so for a plain cathedral veil.
