I just received a beautiful purple invite from Papyrus. The card itself was ivory but its mounted on a purple card stock. The ink and envelope liner is also purple.
Any invitations on Wedding Paper Divas can be customized with your colors (if they don't offer the color scheme you want) for $20.... just click on a design suite that you like and under the product color tab, select "custom." :-)
Or, I'm sure if you find a design you like from any other designer, they can change the colors for you!
Hey there!
you can find a great purple invitation here!
<div style="text-align: center; line-height: 150%">
I customized our invites on www.mygatsby.com - any color you want!
I did the same as Mermaid1082. I love purple and when we decided to have our wedding in March I decided to make our main color lilac instead of the dar purple. My save-the dates were on classic white metallic with amethyst backing all on lavender backing. I have since changed my main color from lavender to lilac so the invites will be in lilac/kunzite color. I am also getting my invited printed on MyGatsby and then assembling them myself. They will assemble them for you for a fee as well if you are not a diy person.
you can also have printing ont he dark papers as well just have to print in silver or gold I think.
Good luck

this website has some nice aubergine invitations:

I had an extremely hard time looking for purple invites also. The purple was never "right". We had a total of four colors: black mission fig deep purple, aubergine reddish purple, artichoke green, and cauliflower white. We're foodie people so we specifically named our colors by food. :)
Anyways, I ended up having to design them because I couldn't really find the colors we wanted or the design. But I do recommend if you can't find a purple invite, utilize a purple envelopment.
Stardream Metallic Envelopes - Ruby (it's a nicer warmer purple)
Mohawk has a paper line - Feltweave that has an Eggplant color but only if you don't mind the texture. I can't remember if they have envelopes but you want to check it out.
Neenah Papers have purple (I believe it's the Eames line) - Gorgeous! Almost used it but it's more bluer purple than aubergine.
Paper-Source has a kind of a purple called "Beet" :P It's a stretch but very pretty.
Hmm... what about making your own envelopes? Does of scrapbooking paper colors... you might be able to find a good match there! :)
I'll post a picture of mine soon..
Browsing around I can tell you that I found the perfect color of our invitationS from bellow reccomandation PWilson - www.MonogramWedding.com.
Thank you very much PWilson!
I found our perfect wedding invitation at an affortable price! Also got a discount of 10% at MonogramWedding with the referral ID: BRIDE
So I warmly recommend them!
My colors were grape and leaf green-- I feel ya! I got my invites at michaels and used a 50% off coupon to make them around .50 an invite. Also got my programs and thank you cards there. here's a tiny link to the invites, they are prettier in person.
Aubergine-Plum is also one of my colors... I looked high and low for a piece of card stock in this color. (most places discontinued the color) The pocket fold is going to be in silver and I found great purple (1st layer) cardstock at discount cardstock.com. It is an amazing price. I will have to hand cut it but it is a little sacrafice to have my perfect color!
http://www.discountcardstock.com/ They have so many shades of purple!
I love the girls doing our invitations. ALl their designs on their ready-to-order line come in dark purple or your purple and green. They ahve a ton of designs to look thruogh and their prices are reasonable... http://www.moiradesignstudio.com/
I have eggplant as one of my colors and recently saw a nice set at Target, I think they're new.
Have you looked at www.papeteriestore.com ? They have a lot of color options -a dark purple backer would be gorgeous on one of their flat panel invites.
My colors are primarily merlot/aubergine and cranberry and I had a very difficult time finding invitations in this color combination that I liked so I've decided to go the DIY route and order cardstock from cardsandpockets.com.

Hi bees! My wedding colors are currently a honeydew green and aubergine (dark purple). I am looking for an invitation that uses these colors, and I totally don't mind it only being dark purple. I know there are a lot of bee brides using dark purple in their wedding also, so I was just wondering where they found their invitations? Or if they even incoorporated purple into their invite at all? Thanks!
