You can find one at a salon and there are also independent ones too. If you have a place like Sephora nearby, you might be able to talk to some of the girls there. A lot of them do freelance work.
If you've already booked your photographer, you could ask them for a referral. They've probably worked with lots of people and know whose makeup photographs well. That's how I found mine and I love her!
In addition to asking for referrals, you can go to local.google.com
and search for 'makeup artist near ____' (fill in your zip code and/or address) ~ the benefit of finding someone geographically close is less travel costs!

This might be a silly question, but where do I find a makeup artist for my engagement shoot and for my wedding day?? Is it just a makeup artist at a salon or should I be looking some where else?
