Is she plus sized or wear misses size?
Has she tried on dresses so that she is comfortable knowing what style she prefers?
If not, I would head out and try on dresses and ignore the price tag.
When she knows what she wants, you can look online . There are some great bargains in the sale and clearance sections.
Dillards has dresses in that section from $40-70.
If she is plus size www.onestopplus.com might have a dress for her.
Don't restrict yourselves to dresses labelled "MOB" either.
All the wedding and bridesmaid sites have some dresses that would be great for a MOB- look also in their sale, clearance and outlet sections.
Macy's, David's Bridal, Dress Barn etc. It all depends on what your mother is looking for, for style and what size she wears.
She's about a size 8 and she wants something with a jacket, but it has to be waist length and at least 3/4 sleeves. She's kinda picky! lol
My mom got her dress at Nordstrom. My fiance's mom and grandma got theirs at Macy's.
My Mum's was from Condici and got it from a shop with MOB and prom like dresses.

My mom and I are having a fit trying to find her a dress that she likes. She doesn't have a ton of money to spend, so that's the biggest problem. Everything she likes is almost $200. Where did your moms find their dresses? Do you have a picture?
