Ugh, we were in the same position. I stalked craigslist all throughout our state and only found 1 or 2 used ones. Most were all 08 or 09 models and I really wanted a 2010 or newer if I was going to pay over $400 for a stroller.
In the end I got the b-ready with the car seat for $400 new.
You could stalk the NYC craigslist and pay shipping to them...
I don't know how upscale you'll find, but there's a great site called freecycle. Sort of like craigslist, but it breaks down to more specific neighborhoods, and has people list things they're either giving away or searching for. I was able to get a cat airplane bag for free. :-)

We're on the hunt for an Uppababy Vista. I've registered for it but I also don't really have any issues getting a pre-owned one. Only problem is they are not very common (yet) in Seattle and they aren't on Craigslist like they are in NYC. I don't have an issue paying shipping.
I've tried consignment shops too but a lot of them aren't taking things like this.
Any ideas?
