well, I did a little more looking on etsy, and if any one else is curious, I found this seller:
I have found them on ebay, I have purchased both used and unused from a specific seller, let me know if you want his user id. He seems to have *tons* of stamps, and would likely be able to point you in the right direction.
Thanks Gabrielle, that would be great! If you want to pm me his id that would be wonderful.
my FSIL contacted local stamp dealers and one of them had a TON of stamps that he wanted to clear out at face value. I sent my save the dates w/ them, soon my invites and later the thank yous.
We have a lot of smaller value stamps, so make sure that you're envelopes can hold the number of stamps you need. The higher the value, the better! Good luck!
thanks for the tips Bird ! That's awesome!
I also found this posting about it which may help anyone else looking:

Hi hive.
I'm looking to use vintage stamps for our postcard save the dates, but I'm having touble finding pretty unused stamps that aren't rare or valuable. Any thoughts? I've already checked out ebay of course. And, I couldn't really find any unused stamps on etsy either. Or, do any of you remember when a bee used vintage stamps and talked about where she got them from. I tried to look at Mrs. Cowboy Boots posts, but I didn't see if she mentioned where she purchased her stamps.
