I’m exploring the idea of DIY centerpieces but cannot find a good place to get vases and other pieces for a good price. I’m mostly looking for glass, mercury glass or plain gold looking vases and candlesticks , any size and shape. I checked save on crafts but they still seem pricey for what the items are. Am I being too ambitious on a good deal for centerpiece items?? I’m stalking Craigslist at this point!

Nouna_: Compare prices with :
and do a search on Google shopping:
Use http://www.adhuntr.com/ rather than just your local Craigslist. AdHuntr lists all Craiglsist sites. You can narrow down the results by geographic area on the next page.

Nouna_: yay no prob! If you pick something off the website though, be sure to call ahead if you want to pick it up- they have an offsite warehouse and not everything is always at the shop.
They have saved my life many atimes, including my BFFs wedding- her rental candelabras “werent available” anymore about a week before her wedding! Jamali saved the day.

Thanks everyone! I will take a look into each of these suggestions. I’m currently setting up a handy spreadsheet to breakdown the cost per item.
