I saw your other post about when to get your nails done and was about to recommend a place! You should try Shellac. I have had gel done plenty of times and they chip and crack after a week, if they even make it that long. Shellac has lasted me over a month! I would recommend going to the Nail Lounge in Costa Mesa off 17th St. It’s pricey, but my Shellac job was excellent. The pedicure was just so so. Plus they offer free wine and champagne while you’re there!

It could’ve been my fault. I’d gotten really busy and had lapsed longer than usual on my regular pedicures so I clipped my toe nails myself a week before going…which resulted in ugly toe nails. So the lady didn’t have much to work with. So it could be my own fault. lol. I always get french mani and pedis and (I really am thinking it’s my fault now) the white on my pedicures weren’t as square as I like them (if that makes sense). I’d totally go back though and give them another shot at the pedicure, especially if I’m going to get Shellac done anyway.

I don’t think it’s necessary, but if you have nails that break easily I did find that the Shellac made them thicker/stronger.
