I just received my DVD of our wedding photos (yay!) but I don’t want to go through the photographers website to buy any prints because they are really super expensive.
What are some somewhat high quality places to print your photo’s through online? I was thinking nicer than costco…but who know’s, I’ll probably use costco to get ALL 1500 photos printed since it’s less expensive than most places. But I just want a few higher quality printed photos to be framed.
Let me know what you used/if you liked how they turned out!

picaboo.com does prints very cheaply and they are great quality.

I don’t even sell anything smaller than a 5×7. 4×6 images tend to get tossed in albums or a drawer. They are good for proofing and you can get proof quality images from just about anywhere. I tell my customers to shop for the best price.
For larger wall portraits, you can DIY, or order through your photographer. It may cost, but there are benfits.
1. The photographer’s monitors are calibrated to the labs printer profiles for the best color and skin reproduction
2. The photographer will use professional labs which have the highest quality archival inks and papers, and the highest quality printing process
3. The photographer will prep the image perfectly for printing, including crop to size, adding output sharpening, any color corrections or noise reduction necessary
When you order from your photographer most likely the print is guaranteed and will come out PERFECT. If you DIY it may not come out great the first time around. But if you want to try, a great consumer lab is MPIX

I like prints. I frame practically everything. Snapfish or Shutterfly are super cheap and easy. If its turns out a picture doesn’t look good in a 4×6 it doesn’t matter because it cost 9 cents!

@USER876: I cant order from my photographer, she is sending a disc of all our engagement photos and I just want to go to a place where it wont be too expensive to print them out.. I believe Heatherloveskenny wants to find someone online to get them cheaper, as they can be very expensive and my photographer explained that they are such good quality we wont have to get the printing place to do anyhting to them but just print them out. They will be very good quality.

I second mpix.com for prints. No idea how it compares to a pro photographer’s site (since I’m still waiting on my photographer to set up the site and send the dvd with my photos), but it’s way better quality compared to costco or snapfish for prints, even with my less than pro-level digital camera.
