We're renting from Milroys - it really depends on your location.
I was told to stear clear of Men's Warehouse.
The only other national chain is Jos. A Bank, but they're very new to the game and, like MW, don't carry any local inventory. If you're interested in a national chain is because you have guys coming from all over, keep in mind that you can have them go to a tux shop where they live and get fitted for free. Then they can pass the sizes along to your local shop for processing. The advantage here is, again, that the local shop has an onsite inventory and will be able to handle any last minute changes or exchanges. Peace of mind is worth a fortune when it comes to your wedding!
We went to Men's Wearhouse and had a terrible experience. My BM dresses are salmon colored and the closest thing Men's Wearhouse had was fuschia. The lady there told us to just go with the closest color. Fuschia and salmon are nowhere near the same! So we went to Joseph A Bank next and had a great experience. They have TONS of options and while it was in a book we were still able to pick a great color. The two men there were very helpful in making our selections and since our groomsmen are all in different states this was the best option for us.
We went with Men's Warehouse... hopefully this will not be a problem. Would be interested in hearing other people's experiences.
The color we needed - plum - seemed to match their sample pretty well.
The manager was helpful and said he would waive all extra fees - they wrote that in huge writing on our contract - so hopefully there won't be an issue. There is not a Men's Warehouse or Jo. Banks anywhere near where our wedding is being held (in S. Oregon), so the wedding party will pick up everything 9/28 and will not have it back until 10/10.
