I am buying my dress in Philadelphia, where I grew up, but need to have it altered here in Tucson (where I now live and plan to get married). I plan on spending around $5,000 for my dress and I would hate to spend that much only to have it butchered by a seamstress. Any suggestions? I've heard horror stories about Hem and Her, but I don't want to go to some dry cleaner with a tailor in back. Help!
