The color in Maine that time of year will be absolutely amazing.  I would HIGHLY recommend going there.

@Brideonabudgetlauren:  I second this!  I’ve never been to Maine but it’s high on my list of places I’d like to go.

I live in AZ and have been to Bar Harbor and San Fran. Can’t go wrong with any of those places. Bar Harbor has beautiful scenery (ocean, mountains and lakes), Acadia national park is close by and the seafood is very tasty. Late October might be a little cold. San Fran is a really cool city and there is a lot of stuff to do there. AZ can be amazing too depending on where you go and the weather is beautiful in late October.

ETA: I saw that you meant Sedona. I used to live there and it is like out of this world beautiful there. I voted either Bar Harbor (if you don’t mind the cold weather) or Sedona.

@KateByDesign:  It says Sedona now. I just saw that and edited my original post.

Oh!  We went to SanFrancisco right after we got engaged.  I loved it.  Lots to do there.  We drove on the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to LA and then San Francisco.  Amazing trip.

I’ve been to all 3 and my favorite is San Fran,  you’re all so close enough to make a day trip to Napa/Sonoma Valley.

Yes, there is a lot of touristy stuff to do there. There are the pink jeep tours, where they basically take you around Sedona in a big pink jeep. They also have hot air balloon and helicopter rides. The chapal is really cool, its a church built into the redrocks.Tlaquepaque is a really cool shopping area to check out. There are a lot of nature trails and hiking trails. Are you more of a city girl or outdoorsy?
