My reception was at Villa Lombardi’s on Long Island which I highly recommend (esp for the food!). I had a noon Saturday reception for $90/person. More expensive for Saturday afternoon though but there is wiggle room with the prices!

Miss Peony’s reception location looks divine.. I emailed her with some questions and she helped me out a lot!  Unfortunately, it was too far for my guests so I’m having it at The Manor in West Orange, NJ

Try Beckwith Pointe (www.beckwithpointe.com) in New Rochelle.  I remember them being around $100/pp for an evening reception in April.  It included a ton of really good feed and a premium bar, and has an ocean view.  They also offer free chair covers.

I am having my wedding at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island.  My price was in your range, and they can accommodate large groups your size.  Check them out!

If you want to get married closer to Manhattan, I would suggest Bubby’s (see link above).  They are located in Brooklyn (DUMBO) and a lot of ppl do the ceremony outside overlooking Manhattan.  For your size, you may need to rent out the entire restaurant.

It may not if all the vineyard provides is the venue. Then you have to factor in catering, liquor, chair/table rentals, etc etc etc. Where in metro NY do you want to have your wedding? The vineyards to the best of my knowledge are all in Riverhead and further east.

I would definitely try The Venetian in Garfield, NJ.  It’s rather close enough from NYC (it took me 40 minutes to get there from NYC) and convenient for NJ guests as well.  MY sister had her wedding there and after that, 3 of her friends all booked their wedding there too!  Without any exaggeration, they have the best best best cocktail hour I’ve ever been to.  And according to a lot of people, they do offer the best rates for such a nice, accomodating, large cocktail menu and quality of food.  Good luck on your search!
