We are having the hardest time deciding on where to honeymoon. My first pick has been Greece for a while, but FI pointed out it might be cold. He really wants St. Lucia, which I would be okay with but I was hoping for something a little more…. exotic? I am up for doing something “beachy” but I don’t want to only sit on a beach all day. I also don’t want anywhere too touristy. I want it to feel romantic, calm, and have cultural activities for us to do together.
Any ideas? Budgetwise, it’s not huge but not tiny either if that helps!
Also – because I like pics!

@ajillity81: Tell me about your Italy plans?! This has become something I’m not considering. I was thinking of maybe flying into Italy and doing a few days there, and then hoping on a small cruise line – with this as the itinerary:

@JrzyGurl: italy was amazing and it was the perfect time to go, beautiful weather and tourist season was over.
we flew into venice and made our way south. we were a little worried about venice in october since it is their rainy season. last year venice was under water in october and they had raised sidewalks everywhere, the pictres were cool.
venice was in the 60’s during the day. i wore pants and a light long sleeve shirt and needed a sweater at night.
then we made our way south to florence, rome, and naples. in florence, i still needed a sweater in the evenings.
from naples we went to capri, pompeii, and the amalfi coast.
besides venice being a little cooler, it was 75 and sunny our entire trip. we never saw a drop of rain.
DH planned our itinerary and restaurants and he did an amazing job.
any questions, i’d be happy to answer.
go to quatro leoni and get the pear ravioli in florence and go to angelia a trevi in rome. my two favorite meals.
