Did you try Googling your city and "wedding officiant"? That will give you some leads. Of course try posting on your local boards as well for recs.
Have you checked out local officiants on TheKnot or WeddingWire? I'd also suggest checking out the Celebrant Foundation, where I was trained - they have contacts all over the country for awesome Celebrants who will create a personal and special ceremony for you - http://www.celebrantusa.org
Thanks ladies! I did google my city and every combination of words that could lead me to officiants, i just didn't know if there was some sort of "official" place I should be looking first. Thanks for the link, Jessieblum, I'm going to check that out!
Again, thanks!

I'm really clueless now that I'm getting more serious about planning.
We thought about having a quick courthouse wedding, but then it would probably have to be a weekday. So, now I guess I'm looking for an officiant that would be able to do a Saturday or Sunday for us. Problem is, neither of us go to church, and I don't know where to start looking for an officiant.
I'd love to have a personalized ceremony, but a quick civil ceremony would work, too. Living in VA, my understanding is that the officiant has to be either ordained with a congregation or a JoP.
Are there any online resources that can help me begin the search?
Thanks in advance!
