Has anyone used an online printing service that has the option of printing to kraft paper? I’d love to DIY a simple invite, like this:
I just looked at catprint.com, but didn’t see a kraft option. Do you think it would be easiest to just buy my own paper and take it to kinkos for printing?

I’ve never used any online printing services, but I think if you’re going to just print with plain ol’ black ink on kraft then you should be totally fine with buying your own kraft and taking it to a local printer. Easy peasy =]
In fact, I just whipped some super simple rehearsal dinner invites with black text on kraft paper and they came out just darling!

We letterpressed the return address on kraft envelopes and came out great. We wanted to use heavy weight kraft cardstock for our invitations to letterpress, but we couldn’t find any over 80lbs. So we went with a 220# ecru cardstock for the main invitation and 110# for the other inserts and kraft envelope.
You can also run the 80# through a laser printer or inkjet printer and it should come out ok as well. Good luck!

Papersource has kraft invitation size paper.
Just be careful it is laser compatible if you have a laser printer.

We are using kraft for our save the dates and invitations. So far, we have printed our save the dates with our ink jet printer and they’ve turned out great! We just picked up a pack of kraft cardstock from hobby lobby and went at it

I am wondering this too… What did you end up doing?

We ran our kraft paper bag A7 envelopes through an all-in-one printer, which was fine.
The only thing that was a problem was one area we had a black heart with our initials cut out of it. Because of requiring so much ink and the texture of the paper, a few envelopes had spotty coverage and it smeared. Just a head’s up on that!

Catprint.com now offers kraft paper printing. i had my invites and Save-The-Date Cards all printed through them. the kraft paper is a little lighter colored than the average paper bag but is nice thick paper and great quality. doesn’t hurt that they are also so cheap!
