OKay- so totally non-wedding related, but there are enough girlies out there that can most probably help me out…. I just recently started working at a hospital where I have the option to wear scrubs.. got some cheapies at Walmart and they honestly aren’t that comfortable or fit me very well. I heard Gray’s Anatomy Scrubs are the way to go…so just a few questions.. how do the sizes run? I have size small and xtra small scrubs… do Gray’s run big or small? Also, where can I purchase these.. where can I find them for the cheapest… because like everyone else, I’m saving for a WEDDING! 🙂

I have found them in specialty scrub shops, and if you google “Grey’s Anatomy Scrubs” you will find online sources – I find they fit a smidge small, so order one size larger than you usually wear.

Ohhh. I thought we were talking about the show. I’m a dork.

They are sooooo comfortable, but they’re expensive. I got mine at Uniform Outlet store at an outlet near me. I don’t own that many pairs of scrubs yet so I can’t really say how they fit compared to other brands. I especially like that the bottoms have a slight flare so they look more like regular pants I would wear.

I also got mine at uniform outlet near me. There are quite a few shops around town that have them, I am guessing if you have scrub shops near you, you could probably find them there. They are extremely comfy but they are a bit pricey. Here’s advice I learned the hard way, don’t wear BRAND new red ones with white danksos they will stain! I got the stain off but it was a pain in the butt.

I loved the feel of them, but they have a weird fit. The tops don’t fit me at all and they definitely run small. I can find them at my local scrub store but I would seriously recommend at least trying a set on if you decide to go buy them online 🙂

Yeah you have to wash them before you wear them, like dark jeans…they’ll stain your skin too!

I only wear GA scrubs…they are SO comfortable. I always feel like I’m wearing my PJs to work! They seem to run small. I’m in bigger sizes with this brand than I usually wear. I have no complaints other than they are a bit pricey (but they are so comfy!) and after only a month, one of my pockets started to detach in one small section. It’s an easy fix but for a $22 top, I’d expect better stitching. I purchased mine in person strictly because of their size issues but if you Google them, you’ll turn up a lot of hits.

Ooh, I just bought a Grey’s Anatomy lab coat for over my scrubs that I’m super-excited about! The fabric seems like it’s a lot more comfortable than the other scratchy lab coats out there. I’ve never tried on the scrubs themselves, but I normally wear XS or S scrub tops, and the lab coat is a XS and fits great. And it’s definitely more stylish/non-frumpy and fitted than the other lab coats. (Maybe people feel it runs smaller because the line is more fitted?)
Mine was at a local specialty scrub store.

I don’t know if they have this store where you are, but I buy scrubs at Life Uniform. I’ve seen the GA scrubs there, although they don’t show up on the webiste. They aren’t my favorite brand (I like Dickies) but I agree that better fitting scrubs can be had at an actual uniform shop.

for the ladies that have tried these…since the colors are named fancy things…did you find that the ciel blue was the same as surgical blue?

@notbridey: Yes they are the same color

@LeahP: Me TOO!!! But I actually saw a nurse when my sister was in the ER wearing Grey’s Anatomy (tv show) scrubs… like with “Mercy West” or something on them. I thought she was the biggest idiot ever, so I was actually coming here to beg OP not to buy them if she intended to wear them to work!

Those are my favorite brand of scrubs. They fit well, are soft, and they don’t come out of the dryer all wrinkled!
I think they run pretty small. They’re made by Barco and it seems like everything from that brand is smaller than Cherokee, Walmart, and dollar store scrubs.
I can make some comparisons if it will help:
An XS shirt in the Cherokee brand is still too big for me (I am 5’2″), but an XS in Grey’s Anatomy shirts fit perfectly. I am kind of large-busted and they fit snugly enough so when I bend over my whole shirt isn’t flapping open, and the armholes and shoulders aren’t huge.
I have several pairs of Cherokee pants in XXS-petite, and they are too short (they shrink) and tight in the legs and too big in the waist (and I do not have a pear-shaped figure). I wear a S in Grey’s Anatomy pants and they fit perfectly. And they don’t shrink. The legs are a bit long for me on the regular sizes, but the petite sizes are too short. My inseam is 29″ so unless you are really really short I would stay away from the petite pants, which are also tighter across the hips.

@MexiPino: I hate the TV show so I never watch it but I’m assuming “Mercy West” is the fictional hospital on the show? If so, that’s pretty lame, but most of the Grey’s Anatomy scrubs are plain solid colors and don’t plaster the TV show all over them.
