I’m having some trouble incorporating my colors into my wedding and want your help! My colors were orginally eggplant, black, and like a light apple green. They have since kind of shifted when I went into mens warehouse, as I choose the plum color for the groomsmen. Our save the date had a plumish eggplant color on it.
I’ll give you some detail and hopefully you can tell me where I can add some color that I haven’t thought of.
My dress is ivory. The bridesmaids dresses are black and I don’t want their color to change. Their flowers are ivory and light green hydrangeas with roses. My flowers are ivory with a few purple mini callas sprinkled into it. I’m having a cake with a ribbon and brooch around it – the ribbon is supposed to be eggplant or plum in color. I’m in the works of putting rhinestones on my cake topper. The colors I choose were amethyst and clear. I’m hoping to purchase a plum ring bearer pillow I saw on ebay. I’m still trying to decide on invitations. I feel because everything else is in the purple color family, I should do green invitations. My table linens will most likely be black and if we can afford it, I’ll get green napkins to pop against the black. My shoes are going to be purple. We are going to use luminaries for the table numbers from etsy. The centerpeices include purple, green, and ivory or white flowers.
Where can I fit more green in? Am I being too concerned about trying to fit more green in?

you’re overthinking! frankly no one will be thinking “oh it’s a good thing she had green invitations because there’s a lot of purple at the wedding” find the invites you like the best…maybe they could have both purple and green.
the colors will come together on their own. you don’t have to worry about evenly balancing them…just buy things you like!

your bridesmaids can have the purple shoes, also I would add little accents here and there. I mean napkins chair sashes or covers, in your centerpieces etc.

@kitzy: I’m asking because we have several ppl esp in FI’s office who have asked and they ARE the type of ppl that afterwards will be like so weren’t your colors x,y, and z. Well what happened to z? And although it shouldn’t it does get to me. And these were supposed to be my colors so I’d like to stick to them. That’s why I’m asking for help.

@totheislnds: Those are unique and in my colors but I’m already working on a DIY cake topper. Thanks for the idea though!
